CONGRATULATIONS TO FATHER TIM FRIEDRICHSEN on his 35th Anni-versary of Ordination. Thank you for your willingness to give of yourself. Wishing you God’s choicest blessings. CONTACTING THE FRS. TIM: If you wish to contact one of us directly, the best way to do so is FIRST to email us:

THE Fr. Tim, [email protected];

The other Fr. Tim, [email protected].

Use the [email protected] only for emails for Donna Wesely.

For Julie Eich, [email protected].

For Rosie Sporrer, [email protected].

You may, of course, copy any or all of us in on an email.

Don’t have email: Call the office (esp. for Donna, 673-2582) or the rectory (673-2351), and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We Frs. Tim are attempting to streamline things for Donna, so that the emails and calls she receives are mostly for her, and not messages (email or voicemail) that she needs to pass on to one or both of us. PLEASE NOT THE CHANGE IN OF-FICE HOURS AT ST. AUGUSTINE, HALBUR: Starting Friday, July 26, Rosie Sporrer will be in the office on Fridays, not Thursdays, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. This works better with the priests’ Mass sched-ule. The Frs. Tims are very appreciative of her flexibility. Thanks, Rosie!! THANK YOU for your generosity to your parishes! We have been especially happy to receive gifts of grain these past weeks. Before gifting grain to your parish, please review the rules and use the form that are available on our website (under Documents in the right hand column; we will update them when we have time). Hard copies can be provided from the parish of-fice if needed. It is, of course, a corporal work of mercy to visit those in prison. We, the Frs. Tim, HOWEVER do not want that to happen because IRS rules have not been followed when being generous to your par-ish!! The main issue thing to keep in mind: Transfer ownership of the grain to the parish. The grain cooperative will con-tact the parish office so that we can tell them when to sell the grain that has been transferred to the parish. TO ALL FINANCE COUNCIL MEM-BERS AND DIRECTORS: We Frs. Tim are looking forward to meeting all of you and working with you. We are, however, in a bit of a rush to put together lay-leadership teams for the upcoming dioce-san campaign, “Together as One” (#whywegive). Unfortunately this came just at the time moves were taking

place. We hope, therefore, that we can lean on you to help with this year’s campaign. Together as One is in a first year redesign-ing of the Diocesan Annual Appeal (DAA). There will be a kick-off orientation for team members in our area: August 13, 5:30-7 PM, in Carroll at the Holy Spirit Church parish center—a light meal will be provid-ed. — We are to have names into the dio-cese by August 1. Different tasks will be assigned to different people so that no one puts in more than a few hours per week for the few weeks of the campaign. If you need to do so, you may send us your regrets that you need to opt out. Please, think and pray about this with an open heart! — Other parishioners are welcome to volunteer, too!! CCRE registrations are due August 15. Forms are available at St. John Paul II par-ish office or online (Google Carroll CCRE). 1st and 10th grades must attend to receive the sacraments the following year. CCRE NEEDS CATECHISTS for most grades (K-10) for this fall. If you practice your faith and get along with children, you have the basic qualities to help be a light for our young. Contact Deacon Tim Murphy at 792 0513 for more information. ST. ROSE OF LIMA #6 CDA meeting, Thursday, August 1, Holy Spirit ChurchChurch. Rosary 5:10 p.m., Mass 5:30 p.m. Dinner/ meeting to follow at the Bishop Greteman Center. Entertainment TBA. For reservations contact Bev Von-nahme at 712-689-2211 by Monday, July 29th.
