• However, all these studies focused on features describing mainly the global coronary tree, while the association between calcium score and the severity of coronary lesions in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) has not been described yet.

AIM OF THE STUDY

Correlation between the accumulation of calcium within the vessel wall of a coronary artery and the severity of coronary artery stenoses in patients who developed an acute coronary event.

Calcium score is significantly associated with the severity of coronary artery disease and can be used as a useful

prediction tool to evaluate the prognostic significance of coronary lesions in a non-invasive way.
