2016 OASBO 73RD ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EDUCATION INDUSTRY SHOW

Welcome to the 73rd OASBO Annual Conference and Education Industry Show at the spectacular Caesars Windsor Conference Centre. I am very pleased to see the return of this top annual event to the southwest region of our province for the first time since 1993!

The Annual Conference Planning Committee has developed an eventful and appealing program under the 2015-2016 theme of Adapt – Innovate – Engage/S’adapter – Innover – S’engager. The theme was chosen from a “catch phrase” used by one of our guest speakers for this year’s annual conference, as we navigate change and transition in the dynamic world of today and seek to improve employee engagement in the workplace. In addition to the professional speaker presentations and workshop offerings from numerous functional areas in our school districts, the conference schedule provides many formal and informal opportunities for networking and collaboration with colleagues from across Ontario and beyond. We encourage you to take full advantage of the professional development offered and hope that what you learn and experience can be readily applied to your workplace environment. The Education Industry Show also provides an opportunity for our vendors to display their product and services. The conference schedule this year has been amended to allow for more time in the trade show area, so please take some time to visit and see what they have to offer. Many thanks to the Annual Conference Planning Committee for their dedication and commitment in putting together such a tremendous program of events. We sincerely hope you have a wonderful time, filled with much learning and some great fellowship. Allow yourself to have some fun along the way too! Best Regards, Paul McMahon OASBO President 2015-2016
