4. The Caerphilly BusinessForum (CBF) sees its rolebeing a conduit for themembers and to work in ourcommunities to promoteemployment, training, givebusiness advice and assistSocial Enterprises
The CBF will forma partnership with the PolicyUnit, CCBC to raise awarenessof the Equalities and WelshLanguage Awareness Trainingto the CBF members.
The CBF is holding it's annualCaerphilly Business Awards on22nd November, 2013recognising and celebratingthe best businesses in thecounty borough.
The CBF is actively recruitingbusinesses to join the Forum,giving a greater voice for thebusiness community.
The CBF will support the WorkClubs through provision ofsupport aimed at gettingindividuals work ready .
The CBF will providementors and business adviceto assist Social Enterprisesdevelop .
The CBF holds Private Sectormeets the Youth Forum eventand plan to roll that event out toComprehensive schools. TheCBF intends to offer advice andguidance to young peoplethrough the schools and thenew Community First clusterareas on CVs, mock interviewsto help young people gainemployment with localcompanies.
The CBF are active supportersof the Caerphilly PassportScheme and have alreadyidentified work placement andjob opportunities for youngpeople with Forum Members

The department has a dedicatedSupplier Relationship Officer, whois available to provide guidanceand support to all organisations inrelation to procurementprocesses, endeavouring toensure more local organisations(whether private sector orvoluntary sector) are successful insecuring contracts with theCouncil following fair, clear andtransparent procurementprocesses.
To raise awareness of tenderingopportunities and supportorganisations in the tenderingprocess
Different statutory duties applyto the different CompactPartners but this cannot lead toa less equitable serviceprovision under the Compactby any partner than would havebeen in place individually.
Annual reports are requiredfrom organisations by both theEqualities and Human RightsCommission and the WelshLanguage Commissioner’sOffice and must be publishedonline by agreed dates.Achievements under theCompact can be included asrelevant information in thosereports.
