Order example
Assembled method
1
1.0 - Grease all the threads. (Industrial vaseline or oily lithium)
1.1 - Peel the end of the cable, considering that the length "X" until the wiring position must include the body length between threads.
1.2 - Cut the metal mesh leaving an useful length as long as the conic zone of theclamping and earthing cone (5) plus 1or 2 mm.
2
2.1 - Thread the tighten nut with the weather proof gasket inside (1), the reduction body (3), the clanping and earthing ring so that the main side cone remains at the cut end of cable.
33.1 - Open the metal mesh in such a way that it "copies" the adjustment cone. Thread it.
5 - Adjusting cone
1 - Nut (with watertightgasket)
3 - Union body4 - Adjusting ring

4
4.1 - Thread the body gland, with watertightness washer to the other cableglands side.
4.2 - Thread the body gland at the entry with the appropriate wrench until it has been adjusted definitively.
4.3 - Then thread the union body (3) and the lock nut (1) with a considerable adjustment (with the appropriate wrench).
5
5.1 - In case of cableglands for "e mode" protection or weather proof, add the watertightness washer (8).
8 - Watertightnesswasher

Assembled method
1.0 - Grease all the threads. (Industrial vaseline or oily lithium grease)
1.1 - Thread in the cable, the tighten nut (1), the adjustment bushing (2) and body gland (4)with the flameproof gasket (3) toward of the side of the other part of the cablegland.
1.2 - Thread the body gland at the entry with the appropriate wrench until it has been adjusted definitively.
1.3 - Thread all the parts with a considerable adjustment (with the appropriate wrench).
2.1 - In cases of cableglands for “e” protection or weather proof, add the watertightness washer.

RECOMENDATIONS
The choice of the right system
1 - Set the classified area for the installation.
2 - Define the type of cable to use (armoured or non armoured).
3 - Determine the entries of the element you want to enter (diameter and thread type):If it is possible use NPT threads. Remember that Delgas cable-glands and standard accesories aremanufactured in this type of thread, so you will obtain a quick delivery and reposition of parts.
4 - Define the diameters under armor and external (if corresponds) of the cable to use.
5 - According to the cables diameter, choose the exact cable-gland.
6 - Order the chosen option by its code. Otherwise, detail their characteristics (cable`s diameter and thread type).
Recommendations for use
1 - Verify that the peeled length of the cable is just what youre needing.
2 - Grease all the threads before assembling.
3 - Be sure that cable is strongly pressed by the corresponding gasket.
4 - In the case of using an armoured cable, select the adjustment ring that better adapts to the armour type of cables:- big ring (with external slot) for helical armour of steel tape or wire.- small ring (without external slot) for helical armour of wire or braid.
5 - Cut the armour in a way that can enclose the shape of the cone.
6 - When using the "e" version with conic threads (NPT) the hole where it will be applied must be adjustby the corresponding nut.
7 - In the "e" version, the watertightness washer must be placed and adjust so much as it is possiblewithout deforming it, but bear in mind that it must support and exert a considerable pressure.
