DRH: handy and versatile cable dredgers

Cable dredgers (DRH) are successfully used in all those applications where handy tools are required and are able to work even at high depths.

The small size and the modular design make these dredgers to be transported too in remote and difficult to reach locations. Assembly and commissioning are simple and takes a few hours. These features can decrease job startup times and reduce startup costs.

DRH dredgers are simple to use: thanks to the intuitive controls, they can be managed by just oneoperator on board.Available in different versions (with the possibility of hydraulic and electric power), they can be equipped with a wide range of pumps and accessories to solve even the most complex ones: the most powerful model can guarantee a production of up to 4000m3 of material per hour!

The limited draft and the ability to quickly obtain naval certifications are further strengths as they allow DRHs to operate in very varied contexts, from artificial ponds to ports, from dams to mining basins.

Dragflow monitoring system

Dragflow has developed a Monitoring System for its entire range of dredges that allows operators and project managers to keep track on the key indicators of a project such a dredge production, positioning, area coverage and more. The information is collected by a set of on-board sensors and saved on a cloud-based system accessible to operators on the dredge as well as project managers off site. This telemetry package also enables remote diagnosis and prevention of downtime which greatly increases the overall efficiency of the dredging operation.

Dragflow Monitorng System is customized for each application and can include the following accessories:

Positioning and Bathymetry

• GPS System: Precise mapping and positioning within the dredging area for an effective coverage and improved dredge planning. System can be combined with sensors like encoder pulley, flowmeter, density meter and more for data crossing.

• Echosounder: The serial interface can connect to the GPS system using RS232 communication protocol, and elaborate georeferenced maps, useful to make work easier and more precise.

Dredge Production

• Flowmeter: Electromagnetic flow sensor provides real time flow measurementsfor the operator. Combined with the density meter, it is possible to quantify the volume of material effectively removed.

• Density meter: Provides real-time density measurements in the discharge pipeline for all kinds of solids. The meter uses ultrasonic technology to measure the density and is specifically designed for dredging and mineral applications.

Working Depth Measurements:In order to determine the position of the dredging pump during operations, Dragflow dredges can equips Encoder pulleys or Piezoresistive transducers depending on the application to provide real time information to the operator. FLOWMETER
