In addition to his responsibilities at Reliance Industries Limited (RIL, the flagship company of
Reliance group), Ashish was involved in setting up Information Technology for Reliance
Communications, Reliance Retail, Reliance Oil and Gas, Reliance Life Sciences and several other
businesses within Reliance group. Ashish was ranked amongst the top 50 CIOs in the world by
several magazines and institutions from 2005-2009.
Ashish has won several International and Indian awards in providing the best IT solutions for

He also served as the CEO of Mumbai Indians – whilst having started his career with Industrial

Bhairavi is a fourth generation entrepreneur and a Director at SCA Group of Companies founded in
1896 by her great-grandfather. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business with Magna Cum Laude
from Miami University, Ohio, USA. Post her graduation in 1999, she worked with KPMG Consulting
in Washington D.C.

Luca G. Donelli is now 30 and is responsible for new markets development at Euros, holding

Group into an international player in the business of coating application, insulation, fire -proofing,
maintenance & finishing services for industrial and civil construction projects.
Since 1911, the Donelli Group mission is to protect (i.e. against corrosion, fire) and enhance the
value of any asset (i.e. industrial sites, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, offshore
platforms, buildings and civil engineering projects).
Within the company, he manages financial and administrative aspects related to international
projects. He is also introducing and promoting the introduction of innovative energy saving services
and more environmentally friendly technologies. With this aim, he started a division dedicated to
provide Blygold/Thermoguard anti-corrosion technologies and solutions for the Heating, Ventilation
and Air Conditioning market, which generated approx €1m turnover in 2012.
Luca is an active member of Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs. He is the sherpa of the Italian
delegation at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs‟ Alliance. He has recently contributed to the
organization of the 2nd
G20 YEA Leadership Assembly held in Capri. Prior to this important task, he
was also involved in the creation of the MAME YE Network, the Mediterranean, African and Middle

Mr Maheshwar Rao graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Maths, Economics and Statisics from the Osmania University. He later went on to do a Master’s in economics with focus on econometrics and growth from the University of Hyderabad. He has held several administrative posts in the State of Karnataka. Presently, he is the Commissioner for
Industrial Development and Director of Industries and Commerce and is mainly responsible for policy
formulation, trade development and industrialisation of the State of Karnataka across various spectrums of
investments, sectors and regions. Mr Maheshwar has occupied this post since June 2011.
Earlier, he was the Special Commissioner of the Bangalore City Corporation and has handled issues pertaining
to approval of building plans, infrastructure in the city, and urban renewal in cities. Mr Rao has had the
distinction of having handled delegation visits of the Mayor of San Francisco as part of the San Francisco
sister city programme in late 2009. He has also been the Deputy Commissioner in Dakshina Kannada &
Mandya districts in Karnataka. As the head of the district, he was responsible for all administrative matters.
As deputy commissioner, he had evolved a rehabilitation and resettlement policy for around 500 families
affected by industrial land acquisition for a Government sponsored Special economic Zone project where
around $ 5 billion of investment is proposed, in Mangalore.
Prior to that, he had worked as the Joint Managing Director, Karnataka State Urban Infrastructure and
Finance Corporation, where he was responsible for the preparation of a project for the ADB Assisted Urban
sector initiative and for the negotiation of $ 200 million loan. He was also appointed as the Deputy
Commissioner and District Magistrate of Belgaum & Hassan where, as administrator, he oversaw the
successful turnaround of a sugar factory. He has also worked as an arbitrator to successfully resolve issues
relating to compensation for lands acquired for national highways.
As Chief Executive Officer of Gulbarga Zilla Panchayat, he started the process of participatory planning which
was initiated in order to provide more responsibilities to the Gram Panchayat. He launched the World Bank
assisted water supply projects for Gram panchayats which involved active village level participation especially
with regard to generation of household contributions to fund part of the capital cost.
Apart from his career interests, he happens to be an active sportsperson. He shares an avid interest in

Dr Murali Kallummal has been working at the Centre for WTO Studies (CWS), New Delhi in the capacity of Associate Professor. He has been working in this capacity at the CWS since 2003. He has completed his Ph.D. in Economics (with specialisation in Corporate Financing) in 1999 from
Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The Centre for WTO Studies was set up in the year 2002 to be a permanent repository of knowledge and documentation related to WTO negotiations and other trade agreements. It was also envisaged that the Centre would evolve into a research unit with interest in trade in general and WTO in particular to finally develop into an independent think tank in the area. Over the years, the Centre has conducted a robust research programme with a series of Working Papers and Occasional Papers in all spheres of interest at the WTO. The CWS has been regularly called upon by the Government of India to undertake research and provide independent analytical inputs to help it develop positions in its various trade negotiations, both at the WTO and other forums such as
Preferential and Free Trade Agreements and Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreements. He has been performing activities which are mainly in the nature of research with occasional specialised lectures on market access issues in Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs) and the WTO. He has a number of national and international publications to his credit and has also been collating and preparing the web portal on non-tariff measures like the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) since 2003. This database provides a detailed understanding on trade linkages of all the WTO notifications made under the SPS and TBT committees of the WTO.
He has also authored reports based on stakeholder consultations with representatives of industrial clusters identified by the CWS (related to the fourteen Sectoral negotiations of August 2008 draft text). As part of his job, he has been providing inputs for the negotiators and preparing them with answers for queries under the Specific Trade Concern on SPS and TBT measures of India. He has participated in 43 outreach, training and stakeholder consultations undertaken by the CWS & Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) at the national and international level.

Tushar Jani is the Founder Chairman of Blue Dart Express Limited, the premier International and Domestic Courier Company, which was taken over by DHL Express (Singapore) Pte.Ltd in March,
2005. Presently, he is the Chairman of Blue Dart Aviation Limited, the first private air cargo carrier in India having its own fleet of seven aircrafts. After finishing his Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from Mumbai University, he joined the 80 year old family business of Clearing & Freight Forwarding as a Management Trainee in 1975. Soon, he turned the business around and became one of the most prominent personalities in the field.
