District 57 events
Worthy Brother Knights of District 57
These past weeks have been something else for us all.
The days before Hurricane Irma arriving in Southwest
Florida the possibility of losing our homes and much
more was apparent as we made choices to stay or to
leave and pray to God to take care of us.
But Our Lord did care for us all in His way, we lost elec-
tricity, some of us had damage to our houses but we sur-
vived as Brother Knights.
Supreme saw the needs of Brother Knights and the needs
of our community. Supreme and State set up Hurricane
Relief Centers in our area with needed essentials of food, diapers, baby food, cleaning
items. These hurricane relief Centers were at Jesus the Worker Council 10886 in Ft Myers
and Guadalupe Parish in Immokalee. Both these locations served food to at least 1000 peo-
ple ,My wife and I were there and witnessed families receiving hot food since the hurricane.
Brother Knights from Councils in the area brought their grills and cooked and served. Our
State Deputy and his wife responded to the Guadalupe Relief Center and supported his
Brother Knights with his presence.
Brother Knights of Council 6265 and the owners of Four Knights made their restaurant
available and gave away meals to those in need. God Bless You Brothers for we performed
together with Charity, Unity, Fraternalism, and Patriotism to our communities at a time of
great crisis.
Thank You Council 6265 for again hosting a Knighthood Degree. The State Deputy allowed
an exemption and a Formation Degree was conducted in the morning with eight candidates
and the Knighthood Degree had twenty candidates.
Let us all pray the next months of holidays and Christmas will bring peace to us and the
world.
Vivat Jesus Greg Masonick DD-57

Brother Knights,
I have been instructed by the State we need to an Officer's Installation ceremony. We have decided to do
this in conjunction with the Assembly (4th Degree). They have to be two separate installations.
Because of Hurricane Irma, we have had little time to plan the Installation dinner. Those of you have com-
mitted to attend, we need to collect the money. I respectfully request you to stop by Laura's office, the
church office, or call me at home 239-368-9469 to submit your money no later than Thursday, Oct 12th,
2017. We have committed to Laura 35 dinners. I have attached the sheet of those of you who have prom-
ised to pay. Thank you all, so far, we have 35 attending. If you are not on the list and want to be, we need
your name and number attending ASAP and payment by Thursday. If we are unable to collect the money
by Thursday, we will forced to cancel. Lets not let that happen
VIVAT JESUS.
