University of Houston What is ? Who should attend?Students aged 10 to 17 who are not content just to use a computer, but need to understand theguts of applications and programming, will find satisfaction at CompuCamp. This high level,hands-on training is so complete that participants with a working knowledge of an operating sys-tem like Windows (Mac and Unix users welcome, too!) will leave with a thorough understandingof the ins and outs of computers. Three sessions let us limit class size so each student gets person-alized attention from our skilled instructors. Register early for this one—spaces go quickly!

What is ? Who should attend?Students with a curious nature are primed to experience ScienceCamp, where cutting-edge content lures them into the intriguing world of science. Working with American Robotics andMad Science, we are proud to present a week-long assortment of up-and-coming science conceptsusing experiments, hands-on projects, and several scientific games. It’s a grand science adventurethat leaves students wide-eyed and breathless!

What is ? Who should attend?Summer is an excellent opportunity to get a head start on the coming academic year with Pre-AP/AP courses, healthcare, money management or an intensive ACT/SAT prep course to getready for college. SummerAcademy offers courses according to grade level, with small classes formaximum gain.

What is ? Who should attend?WritingCamp is the place for young writers looking to find or develop their voices. Our coursesrange from focusing on skills for beginning writers to mastering skills for students who are prepar-ing to enter college. These courses are offered in conjunction with the Writers in the Schoolsorganization and are sure to tap into the imagination of every aspiring writer.

What is ? Who should attend?Childhood is the easiest time to learn a foreign language. Children naturally immerse themselves inthe new language. The earlier children start to learn, the more likely they are to speak without anaccent. With LanguageCamp, kids and teens will have the opportunity to learn French andSpanish. The classes are taught by highly trained, native-fluent speakers who are experienced inteaching children. These classes are offered in conjunction with the Berlitz organization.

Wh at is ? Wh o should attend?Given the growing interest in STEM, we’ve partnered with Engineering for Kids to present aweek-long camp of fun, engaging, and rewarding challenges that explore several engineering dis-ciplines such as Aerospace, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, and Environmental Engineering.Students learn how engineers impact society, and experience engineering activities through inter-active hands-on projects and design activities. While the focus is on academics and project basedlearning, the social experience that results from bringing these students together is an integralpart of the program which creates a summer to remember!
