Amount of work needed to ensure compliance of all districts. Region 9 staff must be diligent in reaching

districts and ensuring proper forms are returned and attached.

Does not provide an action plan for a Region wide event. Region 9 could create a plan for a Regional

event or plan to help support districts in the event of a crisis.

Weak Points

Page 7: By Willis Norton EDLE 5663. Region 9 Head Start Program Serving: Bowie ISD Burkburnett ISD City View ISD, Electra ISD Gainesville ISD Nocona ISD Petrolia.

I would use this plan a means to set up a Regional Crisis Management team. Districts could pool resources to help other in

need. For example:

Sending counselors or teachers to help other districts recover after a crisis.

Provide a written plan for cities and counties to support each other in case of a catastrophic event.

Creating groups of trained volunteers who are ready to help in case of an emergency in another county or district.
