Thomas Edison was known for making the electrical light bulb longer lasting and with better materials so it glowed well. He also made the first ever method of recording and playing sound and a carbon microphone.Born: 11 February, 1847Died: 18 October, 1931Occupation: American Inventor and BusinessmanHe had two children called Theodore Miller Edison and Charles Edison. As well as having two children he had two wives called Mina Miller and Mary Stilwell.

Thomas Edison

Luigi Galvani was an Italian physicist, a physician and a philosopher who had also studied medicine. All four at once, he was probably very busy. He even practised to be a doctor. He discovered that the muscle of a frog can twitch when struck by a spark. His experiment has became the first ever study of bioelectricity which is an electrical case in plants and animals.Born: 9 September, 1737Died: 4 December, 1798He went to the University of Bologna.Luigi Galvani

Alessandro Volta

Alessandro Volta was an Italian physicist known for the invention of the battery in the 1800s. He also invented the electric cell and discovered the first practical method of generating electricity.

Believe it or not, Andre-Marie Ampere was a man! He was a French physicist and mathematician who is best known for finding a way to measure the flow of current, which was named after him. He figured out a way to measure the strength of a magnetic field in relation to an electric current, which is known as Ampere's theorem.
