• Dublin was founded by Vikings in the 9th century.

• Around the year 1000 the worlds largest slave market was in Dublin run by Vikings.

• Only one Viking helmet was found, in a grave in south Norway; it had no horns.

• The Vikings ate a lot of meat.

• Like….• Whale meat.• Deer meat.• Seals.• Fish was a very important

part of their diet.• They also ate fruits and

vegetables.

• Here are a list of Viking armour:

• Seax.(a large knife)• Shield.• Spear.• Chainmail skirt or suit.• Bows.• Helmet.

• Viking jewellery was made of metal.

• They made the jewellery lots of shapes and sizes like we do today.

• When a Viking child was born it was left outside and if it was alive the next day the parents would keep them.

• The Viking girls stayed at home and helped with chores.

• The Viking boys would go help their fathers.
