You can use adjectives to compare two or more nouns.
Add –er to an adjective to compare two nouns.
Add –est to compare more than two nouns.
Adjectives that compare
The merry-go-round is slowerslower than the Ferris wheel.
The roller coaster is the fastestfastest ride in the park.
When the adjective ends with in a consonant sound and yy, change the yy to ii and add –er–er or –est–est.

When the adjective ends in ee, drop the ee and add –er–er or ––estest.

For the adjectives that have a single vowel sound before a final consonant, double the final consonant and add –er–er or –est–est.
