My name is Chop Sue I was born August,12 1920 in Tokyo Japan. As kid my parents always taught to be great at every thing I do. My dad was a soldier an I told my self when I grow up that’s what I always will be. So when I was 20 years old I enrolled into the army having no fear in the world ready to die for my country.

This is me an the friends I made in training as pilots for the war. I seen these man as my family in the war because they have grown up the same way I have. An as our love for each other hate grew for the Americans.

When I seen this In 1944 I was so ashamed because Americans saw us as evil and disgusting people for killing their soldiers but also killing their children but also for murdering their children . An I had to agree with the Americans I just wasn’t cut out for this I had to get out.

This flag brings me back because the flag has signatures on there these were the men

we lost in the war we kept the flag to remember what warriors they were. This is

my helmet from the war it is a little bent out of shape because it got knocked of my head when the plane got shot down in the ocean. Luckily I learned how to swim when I was a kid so I swam to shore with my helmet an

this story always bring me back.
