How to make a great banner ad Keep the design simple A web ad doesn't provide a lot of space for complicated messaging. We find the best performing ads are the ones that keep things simple. What to include: 1. Your event's logo and brand colors. Attendees will recognize it instantly, and give the ad more attention. 2. An image of the app, on a phone or tablet. This helps make it instantly clear to viewers what they'll be getting. 3. A clear call to action. We recommend a button that reads "Download this App." Web users are used to clicking buttons, so using a button shape suggests an action. Clear text stamps out any confusion over what purpose the ad serves. Use a standard banner ad size Most banner ads on the web are designed to fit one of these standard sizes. Create multiple versions of your banner ad to fit each of these sizes. That way, just about any website will be able to accommodate your ad in their layout. Examples of standard web ad sizes (width x height) are shown to the right. Save the ad as a jpeg with a file size of 40kb or less. This is a common requirement on many sites, and will keep the webpage loading quickly. www.crowdcompass.com by Cvent 160 x 600 120 x 600 300 x 250 336 x 280 250 x 250 200 x 200 728 x 90 468 x 60 Download the C3 App Download the C3 App Download the C3 App by Cvent Creative Communicators Conference 1 3 2
