This is the foundation of “just in time” learning

Heat is one of our science units in second grade.Second graders will explore to find the

temperature of the classroom.They will do this by changing

In second grade we study animal groups.After learning characteristics about the six

groups through looking at pictures, reading books, and searching through magazine articles …

In a group of 3, students create a new species that belongs to one of the six groups.

When they are done, the group presents their new species to the class and the class needs to identify which animal group it belongs to.

is … team working cooperatively with virtual and real partners through online environments to create unique digital projects (Jukes, McCain, Crocket 2009, p.65).

elements from mysteries and fairy tales.Second graders work in groups to create a

mystery or fairy tale storyThen they animate the story on the computer with

the class.
