  • These are some facts about North Dakota. The state flower is the wild Prairie rose. The state bird is the Western Meadowlark. The states nickname is the Peace Garden State. The state tree is the American Elm. These are only a few of the state symbols for the state of ND.

  • These are some facts about Bismarck. Bismarck Became a city in 1872. Did you know that Bismarck was not its original name? It was Edwinton. Its population is 59,503. The city was named after Otto Von Bismarck. Now you learned some facts about Bismarck.

  • These are some other major cities in ND. Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota. It was formed in 1871. It has a population of 92,660. Grand Forks has a population of 51, 740. Minot has a population of 35,281. Now you have learned some facts about the major cities in ND.

  • Carl Ben Eielson He was born in Hatton, ND. He became a daring aviator and pilot in Alaska. Carl was the first person to fly over the Arctic Ocean. He died trying to rescue people trapped on the ice. Now you have learned about some famous people in ND.
