Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College and Hospital, Sangli was
established in 2005. The college has so far admitted 7 batches of 100 students each. The college
is recognized by the Medical Council of India and from year 2012 the college has been given
permission for an annual intake of 150 students.
The college is built in huge edifice & serene atmosphere of Sangli. The college is establishedin 2.2 lakh sq. ft. specious building. The area for the 750 bedded attached teaching hospital is 3.2lakh sq. ft.
The college has excellent infrastructure, well equipped laboratories; facilities for MRI,

The Government of India in concurrence with the Medical Council of India has permitted Bharati VidyapeethDeemed University Medical College, Pune to conduct the post graduate courses in the following subjects. Theseats are recognised by the Medical Council of India. The courses & seat distribution is as follows :
Conduct of theMEDPET - 2014 Instructions To Candidates
1. The Test will be conducted at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Pune-
Satara Road, Pune - 411 043, and on the addresses of the respective centres given on page no.cover 3. The candidate must report at the centre atleast 60 minutes before the time of
commencement of examination.
2. THE EXAMINATION HALL WILL BE OPENED 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OF
THE TEST. CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO TAKE THEIR SEATS 15 MINUTES
BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE EXAMINATION. IF THE CANDIDATES DO NOT
REPORT IN TIME THEY ARE LIKELY TO MISS SOME OF THE GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO
BE ANNOUNCED IN THE EXAMINATION HALL.
3. A candidate who comes late by 30 minutes or more after the commencement of the examination
will not be permitted to appear for the examination.
4. The candidate must show, on demand, the Admission Card for admission to the examinationhall. A candidate who does not possess the Admission Card issued by the Bharati
Vidyapeeth Deemed university, Pune will not be admitted to the examination hall under any
circumstances by the centre Superintendent.
5. A candidate will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers
or any other material except the Admission Card inside the examination hall. Candidates will not
be permitted to bring calculators, slide rules, clerk tables, electronic watches with facilities of
calculators, laptop computers, mobile phones, personal stereo systems, walkie-talkie sets,
paging devices and any other object/device that is likely to be of unfair assistance.
6. No candidate, will be allowed to go outside the examination hall till the completion of the entire
duration of examination. Once the candidate leaves the room (even if only to answer a call ofnature) he/she will not be readmitted under any circumstances.
7. Candidates are advised to bring with them a card board or a clip board, on which nothing
should be written, so that they have no difficulty in writing responses in the answer sheet even if the
tables provided in the examination hall do not have smooth surface. They must have their own
ball pens, blue or black and erasers of good quality.
8. Smoking in the examination centre is strictly prohibited. Beverages or snacks of any kind are not
allowed to be taken into the examination halls during examination hours.
9. Candidates shall maintain perfect silence and attend to their papers only. Anyconversation or gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall be deemed as
misbehaviour and if a candidate is found using unfair means or impersonation, his/hercandidature will be cancelled and he/she will be liable to be debarred for taking examinationeither permanently or for a specified period according to the nature of offence.
10. During the examination time, the Invigilator will check the Admission Card of the candidates to
satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate. The invigilator will also put his/her
signature in the place provided in the Answer Sheet on SIDE-1.
11. After completing the test and before handing over the Test Booklet and the Answer Sheet to the
invigilator, the candidate should check again that all the particulars required in the Test Booklet
and the Answer Sheet have been correctly written. Ensure that the Roll Number, is correctly written
in the answer sheet.
12. A warning bell will be given at the beginning of the examination and at the half-time. A warning
bell will also be given before the closing time when the candidate must stop marking the
responses.
Mode of the test
13. The examination will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of one question paper of 600
marks, consisting of 200 questions.
14. The test is objective type. The candidate will be provided with a sealed Test Booklet and an answersheet. The candidate will write with ball point pen the required information regarding: Name andRoll Number on the Test Booklet and on the answer sheet.
15. In the Test Booklet, there will be 200 questions serially numbered from 001 to 200. Each question
will be followed by four responses marked (A), (B), (C) and (D). Of these four responses only
one will be the correct or the most appropriate response. Each correct answer will get 3 marks.
There is no negative marking. No marks will be deducted for not answered questions.
The Answer Sheet
16. A spec imen copy of the answer sheet is given with this brochure. Candidates are advised to gothrough it and be conversant with the requirement of giving particulars and marking the answers
so that during the examination they could do so without any difficulty, mistake or loss of time.
17. The answer sheet used will be of special type which will be scanned on Optical Scanner. There will
be two sides of the answer sheet.
1 Side 1 - This side of the answer sheet begins with instructions for marking the responses. The
following are then to be filled in with a blue or black ball point pen only, neatly and accurately:
â Name of the Candidate
â Roll Number
â Centre of Examination (city name)
â Signature of the Candidate
This side of the answer sheet also contains the following columns which are to be
written/filled in with blue or black ball point pen (Please study the specimen
answer sheet appended)
â Roll Number : Write and Darken (completely filling in) the
appropriateboxes corresponding to Roll
Number.
â Test Booklet Number : Each test booklet has a number . Write it at
appropriate place.
2 Side-2 : This side is to be used for marking responses to questions numbered 001 to 200. After
every question number , four boxes numbered (A), (B), (C) and (D) are provided.
The candidate must indicate his/her response to the question by darkening the appropriate box
If more than one box is darkened or if the response is marked in any wrong manner as shown
above shall be treated as wrong way of marking.
Note : Please use Pencil or blue or black ball point pen only for writing/marking particulars on Side-2
of the answer sheet.
18. The candidates are advised to decide about the answer before they mark it on the answer sheet. He mustensure that the box is completely darkened with pencil or blue of black ball point pen only. A lightly or
faintly darkened box will be treated as a wrong method of marking and will be rejected by the Optical
Scanner.
19. If the candidate does not want to attempt any question he should not touch any box given against that
question.
20. The candidate must ensure that the answer sheet is not folded. He should not make any stray marks on it.
Changing an answer :
21. If a candidate wants to change any answer on the answer sheet, he/she must completely erase the
existing pen or pencil mark and then darken the appropriate box. Candidate must not leave any visible
mark after erasing, otherwise the response will be treated as wrong.
Pens, Erasers and Pencils
22. The candidate must bring his own materials such as blue or black ball point pens or pencil. The
candidate must also bring own erasers (of good quality). He will have to ensure that no mark is visible
after erasing any response.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR MARKING
23. USE PENCIL OR BLUE OR BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY TO DARKEN THE APPROPRIATE BOX.
24. MARK SHOULD BE DARK AND SHOULD COMPLETELY FILL THE BOX.
25. DARKEN ONLY ONE BOX FOR EACH ENTRY.
26. PLEASE DO NOT FOLD THE ANSWER SHEET AND MAKE ANY STRAY MARKS ON IT. 27. MAKE THE MARKS ONLY IN THE SPACE PROVIDED.

28. The candidate will not do any rough work or writing work on the answer sheet. All rough work is to be
done in the Test Booklet itself.

29. The University will declare a common merit list for both the colleges.

candidates shall be displayed at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Pune-SataraRoad, Pune - 411 043. and at offices of Bharati Vidyapeeth University at Pune, Mumbai & Delhi and also
will be available on website atwww.bvuniversity.edu.in.and www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net
Reasonable number of candidates in accordance with the merit will be informed and called for counselling.
Counselling And On-the-Spot-AdmissionSession :
a) Please note that the admissions will be done strictly on the basis of merit and on the availability of seats in
Medical College at PUNE and SANGLI as declared in the brouchure.
b) The counselling and on-the-spot admission session will be held at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed
University Medical College, Pune-Satara Road, Pune-411 043 on the date and time communicated
individually to the candidates as per the merit list. Only the candidates who have received communication
should attend counselling on specified date & time.
c) Only the candidate and one parent/guardian will be allowed into the hall where counselling is held. The
candidates will be called in the order of their merit and offered the seats available at that point in time. The
candidate will be permitted to choose any of the seats available when his/her turn comes.
d) When all the seats in a given course are filled, admission of students to that course will instantaneously
cease and Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University will not be responsible for non-availability of the seats
and non-allotment to the rest of the candidates.
e) At the time of reporting for the counselling, the candidate is required to produce the documents (original
and two sets of photocopies) listed in above application procedure. If the candidate is admitted to any ofthe courses, these documents will be retained by the University till he/she completes the course. If the
candidate fails to produce the documents listed in Annexure-I, he/she will instantaneously forfeit his claim
for a seat.
f) Physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. The choice of course made by the
candidate is final and binding and will not be altered later under any circumstances.
g) If any candidate finds it impossible to be physically present for the counselling due to unavoidablecircumstances, he/she may authorise any other responsible individual to represent him/her at thecounselling. This representative must carry with him/her the letter of authorisation in the format given in Annexure II and all the documents mentioned in Annexure-I. If the candidate or his representative fails toreport for the counselling on the date and the time mentioned in the schedule of counselling as per thecounselling letter, his / her claim for admission to any of the courses will be forfeited. The choice of course
made by the candidate / his / her representative will be final and binding and will not be ordinarily altered
later .
The selected candidates from amongst those called for counselling will have to finalise the admission bypayment of fees on the spot.
Failure to attend the counselling or to pay the fees on the spot and to submit all the necessary documents
may result in automatic forfeiture of the claim of the candidates for the selection.
Schedule of Fees For BVDU Medical College, Pune & Medical College & Hospital,
In case of cancellation of Admission the Refund policy will be as. (1) In the event of student withdrawing before the starting of the particular course, the entire fee collected
from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) shallbe refunded.
(2) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed)within 15 calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 10 percent of totalamount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid byhim and the balance amount will be refunded.
(3) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completedwithin 30 calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 20 percent of the totalamount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid by
him and the balance amount will be refunded. (4) If a student submits an application for cancellation of admission after 30 calendar days from the date of
commencement of the particular course, no refund will be made and Rule (5) may also be invoked.However, if the application for cancellation of admission is submitted before the last date prescribed foradmission, and if the vacated seat is filled by another candidate, 25% of the amount of tuition feesprescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid and the balance amountwill be refunded.
(5) If any student admitted to any course leaves the course after the prescribed last date for admission of theparticular course no refund will be made and he will be required to pay full amount of tuition fees for theremaining entire duration of the course.
30. The selected candidate will have to join as full time resident immediately and will not be permitted to do
any other job. If he fails to join the course within 15 days after the admission, his admission willautomatically get cancelled and he will not be entitled for any refund of fees.
Bond
All the students admitted to MD/MS/Diploma courses of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical Colleges at Pune and Sangli will have to execute a bond in the prescribed format at the time of admission.
The bond will necessitate the post graduate students to work as a salaried Senior Resident/ Tutor in theHospital/College of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University for a period of one year after completion of his/hercourses. The bond may be relaxed in case of non-availability of vacancy.
Differences Of Opinions / Dispute With Regard To Rules :
Differences of opinion and disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the clauses in thisbrochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune andhis decision shall be final and binding.
Court Jurisdiction : Any legal matters arising out of the admission procedure of the P.G. courses through All India CommonEntrance Test of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune-30 i.e. MEDPET-2014 will be under theJurisdiction of courts at Pune.
