4. Government policy and investments Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) is one of the largest and fastest growing manufacturing industries in the world. By one estimate, the current global market size of USD 1.75 trillion is expected to rise to USD 2.4 trillion by 2020. India is one of the fastest growing markets for Electronics in the world. There is a huge potential to develop the ESDM sector in India to meet with our domestic demand as also to use the capabilities so created to successfully export electronic products out of the country.
