Butterfly Collage Card INSTRUCTIONS Measurements: Base Card (Crumb Cake)– 14.85cm x 21.0cm (A4 sheet cut in half across) White Vellum – 8cm x 8cm Scrap of card in same colour as base card (at least 8cm x 4cm) Scraps of Very Vanilla Card for butterfly and greeting Scrap of book text paper .5m soft ribbon Small Adhesive Pearls 1. Score and fold 14.85cm x 21.0cm Base Card, to measure 14.85cm x 10.5cm. This card is orientated vertically so the “short” edge is the top edge. 2. Using Soft Suede and Tangerine Tango spritzers, spritz diagonally onto card front from lower right hand corner. Note: To make your own ink spray, mix 30 drops of reinker with approx. half a Stampin’ Up! spritzer bottle of rubbing alcohol. This should make a strong spray colour, if you want a lighter spray, add more rubbing alcohol. A tip … mark your spritzer with the reinker colour! I can never remember what colour mine are until after I have spritzed them. 3. Tear a piece of scrap paper on the diagonal and use as a mask. Place the scrap paper on the card front so it leaves the lower right half of the card exposed. Ink up the dots from Kinda Eclectic set with Crumb Cake ink and stamp to the exposed card front. You don’t need to be too precious about lining up the stamp as most of this background will be covered. Remove the mask. 4. Stamp the Sunburst image from Kinda Eclectic set slightly to the lower right hand portion of card front with Soft Suede ink (refer image). 5. Stamp the leave image from Kinda Eclectic on either side of the Sunburst with Early Espresso Ink (refer image). 6. Punch a flower out of the White Vellum and emboss using big shot and polka dot embossing folder. 7. Tear a piece of dictionary paper or book text into a random shape. Use sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink to age the piece. 8. Stamp small greeting onto scrap of Very Vanilla card stock using Stazon Black ink. Punch out using Window Word punch and use Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink to lightly colour the edges of stamped piece. 9. Stamp large butterfly from Kinda Eclectic stamp set onto Very Vanilla Card stock with Calypso Coral ink. Punch out using matching Elegant Butterfly punch. 10. Stamp small butterfly from Kinda Eclectic stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock with Pistachio Pudding ink. Punch out using Bitty Butterfly punch (or cut out by hand as I have done).

3. Tear a piece of scrap paper on the diagonal and use as a
mask.
4. Stamp the Sunburst image from Kinda Eclectic set slightly
to the lower right hand portion of card front with Soft Suede ink (refer image).
Use sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink to age
the piece. 8. Stamp small greeting onto scrap of Very Vanilla card stock using Stazon Black ink. Punch out using Window Word
punch and use Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink to lightly colour the edges of stamped piece. 9. Stamp large butterfly from Kinda Eclectic stamp set onto Very Vanilla Card stock with Calypso Coral ink. Punch out
using matching Elegant Butterfly punch. 10. Stamp small butterfly from Kinda Eclectic stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock with Pistachio Pudding ink. Punch
out using Bitty Butterfly punch (or cut out by hand as I have done).
11. To assemble card, cut a slot in the fold of the card approx. 4.0cm from
bottom to 6.0cm from bottom (2.0cm slot). Cut 14cm length of ribbon and adhere across card front, threading left hand edge through slot and adhering both ends on the back of card. (cover the ribbon with insert or panel of card to ensure it stays in place. Tie the remaining piece of ribbon in a bow around the flat ribbon to right hand edge of card.
12. Position all elements of your card as you would like. Adhere the book text
piece with tombow mono glue. Adhere the vellum flower with glue dots, trying to place them where they will be covered by other elements. Note: Ensure that a glue dot attaches flower to card and not ribbon in a couple of places.
13. Adhere butterflies and greeting with dimensional tape. Adhere pearls to large
butterfly. Randomly add pearls to card as desired.
