• When an employee/owner is disabled he/she no longer is an

employee.

• Wages can only be paid to employees.

• Any money paid that is greater than $25 is a gift.

• Income paid after disability is a taxable distribution AND

taxable income to the employee/owner.

• A formal document or a qualified sick pay plan is necessary

to avoid double taxation.
