Tennessee is one of only twelve states in
the nation with a triple AAA bond rating by
the major credit rating agencies.
For the 5th consecutive year, the Tennessee Secretary of
State's office partnered with Dr. Bill Fox to publish the
Tennessee Quarterly Business and Economic
Indicators report. The report provides economic analysis of
filings with the Division of Business Services.
The Secretary of State began the
process of promulgating rules
to prepare for secure remote online notarization.

The Division of Elections conducted cybersecurity
tabletop exercises for over 400 county election
officials during the June 2018 annual seminar.
The winners of the inaugural Voter Registration Contest include:
• University of Memphis,four-year public university
• Tusculum University,private university
• Walters State, two-year community college
100% of the Administrators of Elections achieved state certification.

The Division of Business Services’ customer counter was relocated to
the 3rd floor of the Tennessee Tower to provide more efficient service for our
patrons.
Records Management worked with state agencies
to eliminate the need to retain 31,000 cubic feet of
paper records, equal to about two floors of the Tennessee
Tower. Additional records with expired retentions were destroyed in 2018, saving the state an estimated $121,680
in storage costs.

received over 14,000 pageviews.
