The largest number of responses was associated with the $10,001 -$50,000 budget category (23.68%) and the $100,001 - $500,000category (13.68%) showing that despite the sales slow down of therecent recession, spending in Lean Six Sigma continues to be healthy if theinvestment opportunity is right.

Not only did 40.5% of respondents indicate that their organization’s budgets would stay thesame as in 2010 but encouragingly 31% responded that their budgets would increase while2.6% stated that their budgets would significantly increase.

This investment is strongest in Lean (77.90%) and Six Sigma (72.95%) which respectivelydominate the methodologies cited by the community, closely followed by ChangeManagement (47.50%) and Balanced Scorecard (45.10%). On top of this Business ProcessManagement is proving to be no longer confined to just the IT and BPM specific market with agrowing percentage of Lean Six Sigma specialists looking to now invest in BPM to take theirenterprise wide initiative to the next level (39.30%).

On top of this the community survey clearly showed a growing interest in new and more nicheapproaches which high levels of investment areas emerging in Business Intelligence, Designfor Six Sigma, Document Management and Risk Management Solutions.
