Our students will receive their progress reports on Thursday November 10th, 2016. Our goal is to communicate with each parent/guardian regarding their child’s progress. Effective communication between home and school is vital for academic success. An interview time will be scheduled for you to meet with your child’s home room teacher. The school will be open from 4 to 7:00 p.m. on Wed. Nov. 16 th , for interviews (as well as other times that staff have offered as meeting times). For the last two years Burleigh Hill has offered a program aimed at improving reading in some of our younger students. It is called “Levelled Literacy Intervention”. We received kits of levelled books and selected students to work with tutors on a daily basis. We are pleased to have received the funding to once again offer this program to target groups of primary students. The program began last week. Our learning resource teacher, Mr. Der- ousie will organize and supervise the LLI program. We have Brock students who will be working directly with the small groups. Our next School Council meeting will be held on November 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the library. Everyone is welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing you there. Our Cash Online will be live. Please take a minute to register. Those who register this month will be entered into a weekly draw for a Tim Horton’s gift card – we will be giving away five each week this month. You can place your sub order on line this month. We have been notified by the City of St. Catharines, that there will not be a crossing guard at the intersections of Glendale Ave. and Burleigh Hill; Glendale Ave. and Glengarry and Burleigh Hill; Burleigh Hill and Burleigh Hill School. For November we encourage our students to demonstrate the character traits of respect and responsibility. Dear Burleigh Hill Community: Greetings!
Our students will receive their progress reports on Thursday November 10th, 2016. Our
