The Big Bang theory states that the universe began from the explosion of a single point of zero volume and infinite density some 14 billion years ago.

Our Sun was created within the Universe (inside our Milky Way Galaxy) about 4 billion years ago.

The energy of the "Big Bang," sent everything moving from one center point, outwards in all directions.

The space above the clouds is full of stars, planets and meteorites.

Each one of these is called a celestial body. Billions of these celestial bodies

come together to form the giant collection of star systems we call galaxies.

GALAXIES

“By the heaven holding Buruj (the big stars).”[Al-Buruj: 1]

DYING STARS

“…and we have beautified it for the beholders.”

Galaxies are composed of billions of stars.

Stars are big celestial bodies such as the Sun.

There are about three trillion stars in the biggest galaxy.

In a galaxy of an average size, there are about 200 to 300 billion stars, while there are about 100

billion stars in a small galaxy.

The galaxy has arms made up of stars, gas and dust clouds. These arms spin around the galactic center

at a speed of 330 miles per second (speed of sound).

THE MILKY WAY

The Milky Way is the name of the galaxy in which our Earth is located.

The Milky Way has the shape of a spiral; in fact, the shape of the galaxy is identical to a "pinwheel".

Our Solar System is located a little more than one half of the way out from the center of this spiral-shaped galaxy.

Stars come into existence through the compression of the masses of gases and dust in space called

"nebulae". Stars give off heat, light and energy.

Surprisingly the Sun is not a major star as we believe to be.

In our Solar System, there are nine major planets with 61 satellites and

countless asteroids, all revolving around a single star called the "Sun". The Sun is located at the heart

of the Solar System.

OTHER CELESTIAL BODIES

Other celestial bodies in the Solar System are comets, asteroids and meteorites.

These are the celestial bodies remaining from the nebula in which the Solar System originated

four to six billion years ago.

Comets are made up of condensed gases and dust.

Meteorites are solid bodies which fall to Earth from outer space.

When they fall, the destruction they cause

varies according to their size. Our Earth is

vulnerable to such a threat at every

moment, but our Lord has created these

celestial bodies in such a way that they are usually burned and

destroyed in the atmosphere. Thus

Allah shows His mercy and compassion for us

as well as the protection.

MIRACULOUS FACTS ABOUT OUR

UNIVERSE

The size of the visible Universe is now generally calculated to be 20 billion LIGHT YEARS

across.

We sit near the center of it.

(the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second)

The number of Galaxies traveling throughout the known Universe can be

summarized as such: There are 60 Galaxies in existence for every person on earth

right now.

This is the accurate view of what our Universe looks like from OUTSIDE the UNIVERSE!

Here you see clusters of individual GALAXIES joined in a way that looks like "threads" of material.

In terms of numbers of stars in the entire Universe, they are nearly 30 billion trillion stars which reside in 250 billion galaxies which dwell in 25 billion clusters

of galaxies.

Almost every star in a Galaxy is now considered to normally have planets encircling itself.

In space, the closest galaxy is 2 million LIGHT YEARS away.

The nearest star in our galaxy is only 4 LIGHT YEARS away.

Hence, every galaxy in the universe is proof of the organized structure that everywhere exists.

The Order in the Skies

This matchless plan and order in the universe certainly proves the

existence of a Creator with infinite knowledge, might and wisdom, Who has created matter from nothing and

Who controls and manages it incessantly.

This Creator is Allah, the Lord of the heavens, the earth and all that is in

between. 

No power other than Allah is capable of creating billions of giant stars in an

orderly universe.

Allah created them and the laws to which they are subject. They all testify to His

power and control over the entire universe.

This most elegant system of suns, planets, and comets could arise from

the purpose and sovereignty of an intelligent and mighty being.

He rules them all, not as a soul but as a sovereign Lord of all things, and because of His sovereignty He is

called ‘Lord God Almighty’

“And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the hour is surely coming…”
