Software/AppInstallation

Wesuggestsettingupthesoftware,especiallyfortheiPhone,iPadandAndroiddevicespriortoheadingtotherangeasyouwillneedtobeconnectedtotheInternet(viaWIFIorcellular)todownloadtheapplication.Thisonlyneedstobedoneonce,andyouwon’tneedWIFIorcellularservicetousethesystem.iPhoneandiPadVisittheAppleAppStoreanddownloadtheapplicationentitled“BullseyeTargetManager”toyouriPhoneoriPad.Thesoftwareisafreedownloadandcanbeinstalledonasmanydevicesasyouwish.

AndroidDeviceVisittheGooglePlayStoreanddownloadtheapplicationentitled“BullseyeTargetManager”toyourAndroidDevice.Thesoftwareisafreedownloadandcanbeinstalledonasmanydevicesasyouwish.

WindowsBasedLaptopTheWindowsSoftwareissuppliedontheincludedUSBdrivethat’slocatedinthecarryingcaseoftheBullseyeCameraSystem.YoumayrunthesoftwaredirectlyfromtheUSBdrive,oryoumaycopyittoyourlaptopforconvenience.

SystemSetupStep1:Placingthecameraonthetripod

Removethetripodandexpandthelegstothedesiredheight.

Snapthecameraintothetripodbase.Thetripodhasvariousadjustmentstomovethecameratoyourliking.

Typicallyyouwantthecameraataboutthesameheightasthecenterofyourtargetwiththecamerasetabout6feettothesideatapproximatelya45degreeangle.

Pleasenotethatthecameracanbetotheright,left,aboveorbelowyourtargetandtheangleisnotcritical–theonlycriticalitemisthatthecameraisnofurtherthan6or7feetfromthetargetsothatthecameracanclearlyseethechangesinthetarget(bulletholes).

Step2:Aligningthecameratothetarget

Usingthelaseronthesideofthecamera,simplyfliptheswitchonthebackofthelaser“up”toturnonthelaser.

Alignthelasertoroughlythecenterofwhereyouwantthecameratosee.

Afteryouhavealignedthecamera,turnthelaseroff.ThelaserisNOTrequiredforthesystemtooperate.

Forasingletarget,thelaseraimpointwouldbethe“bullseye”ofthetarget.Thealignmentdoesnothavetobeexact.

Ifyouhavemultipletargetsyouwishtoview,alignthecameratothecenterofthetargetareaasshowninthepicturebelow.Thiswaythecameracanseebothtargets.

Step3:RaisingtheAntennaRaisetheantennaintoaverticalpositionasindicatedinthepicturebelow.

Step4:Plugginginthesystemandturningonthepower

Pluginthegreen,yellowandredwiresasshowninthepicturebelow.

Pressthepowerswitchlocatedontherightsideofthebatterytoturnonthesystem.

Thebatterylevelwillbeindicatedbyaseriesofbluelights.Afullchargeisrepresentedby5bluelightsanddecreasesto1ornoneasthebatterydischarges.

Thebatterywilllastapproximately5‐7hoursofcontinuoususeandrechargetimeisbetween4‐6hours.Whenconnectedtothecharger,youwillknowthebatteryisfullychargedwhenallthebluelightsareilluminatedandnotflashingorblinking.Ifyoudesiretoshootlonger,youmaypurchaseanadditionalbatteryandfastchargerfromourwebsite.

Step5:ConnectingtotheWIFIandstartingthesoftwareThesystemwilltakebetween30secondsand1minutetobeactiveandreadyforuse.Typicallybythetimeyouplugeverythinginandpoweritonandreturntoyourshootinglocationthesystemisready.Ifyouwishtoverifysystemoperationatthetarget,oncetheBullseyeCameraSystemsWIFIhotspotisactivatedandvisible,thesystemisreadytouse.TheBullseyeCameraSystemworksbycreatingitsownWIFIhotspotsothatyouriPhone,iPad,AndroidDeviceorWindowsLaptopcanconnectwithoutanyadditionalhardwarerequirements.UsinganiPhoneoriPadSelectyour“settings”iconandthenselect“WIFI”tobringupalistofavailableWIFInetworks.TheWIFINetworkwillstartwithBullseyeCamfollowedbyanumber,forexample‐BullseyeCam104000AfteryouhaveconnectedtotheWIFI,runtheBullseyeTargetManagerApplicationandselect“NewSession”then“Yes”toconnecttothecamera.Youshouldseewhatyourcameraislookingatonyourscreen.UsinganAndroidDeviceSelectyour“settings”iconandthenselect“WIFI”tobringupalistofavailableWIFInetworks.TheWIFINetworkwillstartwithBullseyeCamfollowedbyanumber,forexample‐BullseyeCam104000AfteryouhaveconnectedtotheWIFI,runtheBullseyeTargetManagerApplicationandselect“NewSession”then“Yes”toconnecttothecamera.Youshouldseewhatyourcameraislookingatonyourscreen.

UsingaWindowsBasedLaptopPlugintheUSBdriveintoanopenUSBportonyourlaptop.Openmycomputeranddouble‐clickondrivelabeled“BullseyeCam”.

Double‐clickonthe“BullseyeTargetManager”application.

Nextselect“StartLiveMode”andthesystemwillautomaticallyconnecttotheBullseyeCameraSystemsWIFInetworkandshowyouwhatthecameraisseeingdownrange.

iPhone,iPadandAndroidDeviceAppTheapplicationfortheiPhone,iPadandAndroidDevicesoperateinthesamefashionsoit’seasytouseanydeviceoracombinationofdevicestoviewtheBullseyeCameraSystem.

StartaNewShootingSessionAfteryouhaveconnectedtotheBullseyeCameraSystemsWIFI,selectNewSessionandselectYestostartanewshootingsession.SeeYOURShotAfteryouhavetakenyourshot,orgroupofshots,presstheShowShotbuttontoseeyourlastshotflash!ReviewingandSavingShotsYoumaypressonthethumbnailstoreviewpreviousshots,orpressandholdonthethumbnailtosavetheimagetoyourcamerarollonyourphone.LiveVideoPresstheVideobuttontoturnonlivevideostreamingmode.

WindowsSoftwareOperation

Onceyouhavestartedlivemode,thesoftwarewillappearasfollows.YouwillseeaviewofYOURtargetonthescreen.

TargetDistanceReferenceYoucansetthedistancetoyourtargetontherightsideofthescreenunder“ShootingSession”.Thisdistanceisonlyforreferenceforthesoftwareanditwillsavethatinformationwitheachshotforlaterreview.WirelessSignalStrengthYouwillalsoseeyourWirelessSignalStrengthasapercentagelistedontherightsideofthescreen.PleasenotethatthisnumbermayfluctuateasWIFIsignalsarenotconsistentinoutdoorenvironments.Thesoftwarewilloperatingthesamenomatterwhatthesignalstrengthreads–meaningat80%thesoftwareworksthesameas100%.

SeeYOURShotInordertheseeyourshot,youmustplacethesoftwareintoshootingmode.Toplacethesoftwareintoshootingmode,clicktheShootingModebutton.Youwillthenseearedbarappearabovethetoolbarasshowninthepicturebelow.

Onceyouhavefired,simplypresstheSPACEBARonyourkeyboardandyouwillseeyourlastshotflashingonthescreen.Ifyouwishtoseeagroupflash,simplyfireyour3,5oranynumberofshots,thenpresstheSPACEBAR.Youwillseeyourentiregroupflash.AsyoufireeachshotandpresstheSPACEBARyouwillseeanewthumbnailimageappearinthefilmstripbelowthetoolbar.Theseareeachofyourshots.Youmayclickonthemtoreviewpreviousshotsatanytime.

BasicNavigationThefollowingprovidesabasicoverviewofthenavigationoftheBullseyeTargetManagerscreen.ReviewingPreviousShotsYoumayreviewanypreviousshotbyclickingthethumbnailsbelowthetargetview.Youwillseetheshotsrecordedflashingonthescreenforeasyidentification.Right‐ClickingThumbnailOptionsWhenyourightclickoneofthethumbnailimagesyouarepresentedwiththefollowingmenu.

MarkAsFavoriteMarksashotwithagolddotsoyoucaneasilyidentifytheshotinthefuture.Youmayfavoriteasmanyshotsasyouwish.ClearFavoriteClearsthefavoritemarkerfortheselectedshot.Add/EditNote…Youmayaddanotetoeachshotthatcanbereviewedinthefuture.Thisisusefulforaddingcommentssuchas“Flinched”,or“StrongGustofWind”toprovideinformationabouttheshot.SaveImage…SavestheshotimagetoyourlocalcomputerinJPGpictureformat.Youwillbepromptedforalocationandnametosavetheshot.

ShootingSessionsShootingsessionsaresimplyawaytoorganizeandgroupyourshotsforlaterreview.Forexampleifyouaretestingoutanew7MMREMMAGyoucanstartanewsessionandshootthefirearmwithmultipleloadstoseewhatperformsbestinthefirearm.Shootingsessionsareautomaticallysaved.Tostartanewshootingsession,clicktheNewSessionbuttononthetoolbar.

Inputadescriptionoftheshootingsessionandanynotesthatmaypertaintothesession.Theseareforyourfuturereference.Whenloadingaprevioussessionthedescriptionwillbelistedintheviewsothatyoucanidentifyprevioussessions.

ManagingandReviewingPreviousSessionsYoumayloadanddeleteprevioussessionsbyselectingtheSessionmenuatthetopofthescreenandclickingManagePreviousSessions.

Selectthesessionthatyouwishtoloadordelete.Ifyouloadaprevioussessionyouwillbeabletoaccessalldatapertainingtothesessionincludingshottime,notes,firearmandammunitionused,andindividualshotimages.

UnderstandingProfilesProfilesareawaytoorganizeyourdataanddifferentshootersthatmaysharethesamecomputer.ProfilesareNOTrequiredtousethesoftware–wehaveadefaultGUESTprofilepre‐builtforyourimmediateuse.EachProfilecanhaveShootingLocations(geographic)aswellasFirearmsandAmmunition.EachFirearmwillhaveitsownammunitionsoyoucanhavedifferentloads,types,etc.foreachFirearm.

CreatingaNewProfileTocreateanewshootersprofile,clicktheNewlinknexttotheprofilesdropdowntotherightofthescreen.Thefollowingscreenwillappear.

TheProfileNameandShootersNamearetypicallynamedthesame.TheShootersNamewillbedisplayedinthedropdownbox.Ifyouwishtopasswordprotectyourprofilesootherscan’tviewitiftheyuseyourcomputer,youcanenterapasswordhere.TheShootersMarkerColoristhedefaultcolorusedtomarkyourshotswhenusingthemarkingtool.Youcanchangethemarkingcoloratanytime.

AddingaShootingLocationtoyourProfileYoumayalsoaddshootinglocations(geographic)sothatwhenyouareshootingatthoselocationstheyaresavedwiththeshotimagesforlaterreference.Toaddashootinglocation,selectEditnexttothelocationdropdownandtheLocationMangerwillappear.

AddingaFirearmtoyourProfileYoumayalsoaddyourfirearminventorytotheprofileaswell.Theactivefirearmissavedwiththeshotimageforyourreference.Toaddanewfirearm,clicktheEditbuttonnexttothefirearmdropdown.

Hereyouwillseealistofyourcurrentfirearms.Asyouclickeachitemtheinformationaboutthefirearmwillbedisplayedbelow.ToaddanewfirearmclicktheAddNew…buttonandthefollowingscreenwillappear.Entertheinformationregardingyourfirearm.

AddingAmmunitiontoaFirearmWhenaddingammunitiontheammunitionistiedtoacaliberoffirearm.Youmayhavemultipleammunitiondescriptionsperfirearmsothatyoucanpatternloads,testhandloadsandkeeptrackofhoweachperformsinyourfirearm.Toaddammunition,clicktheEditbuttonnexttotheammunitiondropdownandtheAmmunitionManagerwillappear.

Filloutthecomponentsofyourammunition.Youmayaddhandloadinformationaswellasdetailednotesabouttheammunition.Onceyouhavefilledouttheinformation,youmustcheckoneormoreboxestotietheammunitiontoafirearmsothatwhenyouselectafirearminthedropdownbox,onlytheammunitionavailabletothatfirearmisdisplayed.

OptimizingSignalTransmissionTheBullseyeCameraSystemuses2.4GhzWIFItotransmitthesignalbacktoyourviewingdevice.

WIFI signal needs clear line of sight to transmit a strong signal over a long distance. Anyobstructions suchasgrass,treesorotherobjectsmaydiminishtheWIFIsignal. Highpowerwiressuchaselectricalwiresmanyalsodiminishorinterferewiththesignal.ImprovingSignalTransmission/ReceptionToimprovethesignaltransmission,raisingthesystemofftheground12”‐16”cangreatlyimprovethesignaltransmission,evenonflatground.

Ifyouhavetriedraisingthesystemoffthegroundandyouarestillhavingproblems,wedoofferaYAGIAntenna tohelpboost the signal as well as aBase StationReceiver tohelp in signalreception.WerecommendusingtheBaseStationReceiverifyouareusinganiPhone,iPadorAndroidDeviceastheyhavemuchsmallerantennas.Every shooting scenario is different. HowdoInumbershots?WhenyouclicktheMarkShottool,whenyouplacethemarker,theshotsareautomaticallynumbered.CanImeasuregroupsize?Thisiscominginasoftwareupdatethisfall!(2014).Canmultiplepeoplerunthesoftwareatonce?Anynumberofpeoplecanrunthesoftwareandlogintoasystematonce.Thisisusefulforinstructorandstudentsituations,orifyouwishtodisplayabigscreenofthetargetsorallowspectatorstowatchtheaction.

TipsandSuggestionsSecuringyourtargetforoptimumperformanceTheBullseyeCameraSystemanalyzestheimageseverytimeyoupresstheShowShotbutton.Ifthetargetisnotsecure,youwillseethetargetmovingonthescreenwhichcanmakeitdifficulttoseeyourlastshot.Bysecuringyourtargettothebackingand/orsecuringthetargetstandsoitwon’tmoveitthewind,youcangreatlyimprovetheperformanceoftheBullseyeCameraSystem.ForSteelTargets,securingthetargetsoitdoesn’tswingwillallowyoutoimmediatelyseeyourlastshotvswaitingofthesteeltostopswingingsotheBullseyeCameraSystemcanshowyourlastshot.IncreasingperformancewithblacktargetsBlacktargetscanoftenpresentchallengesfortheusertospotashotandthosesamechallengesapplytothecamera.Highcontracttargetsworkthebest,forthoseofyouthatrequireblacktargets,wehavecomeupwithsomefield‐testedsuggestionstoimprovetheabilitytoseeyourlastshotwiththeBullseyeCameraSystem.

Putapieceofwhitebutcher/wrappingpaperunderneaththetargetsothatthewhitewillcontractthroughtheblacktarget.

Shootingagainstathintargetbacker(cardboardorotherboard)sothatlightcancomethroughthetargetandgeneratecontrast.

StandardLimitedWarranty.AllBullseyeCameraSystems,LLC(“BCS”)productsareprovidedwitha1yearlimitedwarrantyfromdateofpurchase,coveringflawsordefectsinmaterialsorworkmanship.Pleasenotethateverypurchaseincludesa1yearlimitedwarrantythatisincludedwithyourpurchasewhichcoversdefectsinmaterialsorworkmanship,butthatwarrantydoesnotcoverdamageduetoaprojectileorothermisuse.OptionalDownrangeProtectionPlanLimitedWarranty.Inadditiontothestandard1yearlimitedwarranty,youmayelecttopurchaseaDownrangeProtectionPlan.Underour2‐yearDownrangeProtectionPlanLimitedWarrantywewillreplaceorrepairanyBCSdownrangeequipmentyouhavepurchased(meaningcamera,tripod,transmitterandbox)iftheequipmentisdamagedduringuse,evenifthedamageiscausedbyaprojectile,foraperiodof24monthsafterthedateofyourpurchase.Simplysendyourdamagedequipmentbackwithinthe24monthperiod,withabriefdescriptionofwhatwasdamagedandhowthedamageoccurred,andwewillreplaceorrepairthedamagedequipment(atourdiscretion),andpromptlyshipthereplacementorrepairedequipmentbacktoyou.Youmustpayforshippingyourdamagedequipmenttous,wewillpaytheshippingback.DamageditemsreceivedbyBCSmorethan24monthsafterthedateofyourpurchasearenolongercoveredbythe2‐yearDownrangeProtectionPlanLimitedWarranty.WarrantyService.Ourexclusiveobligationforbreachofthelimitedwarrantyprovidedhereunderistopromptlyrepairorreplacethedefectiveormalfunctioninghardwarecomponent,asdeterminedbyBCSinitsdiscretion.UndernocircumstanceswillBCSberequiredtopaycashorprovideotherpropertyunderthiswarrantyexceptforreplacementorrepairedequipmentorparts,orprovidecreditsforfuturepurchases.LimitedWarranty.EXCEPTASEXPRESSLYSETFORTHINTHISWARRANTY,ORINANYADDITIONALWRITTENAGREEMENTBETWEENBCSANDYOU,ALLPRODUCTSAREPROVIDED“ASIS,”ANDBCSDISCLAIMSANYANDALLPROMISES,REPRESENTATIONS,ANDWARRANTIES,INCLUDINGIMPLIEDWARRANTIES,WITHRESPECTTOTHEBULLSEYECAMERASYSTEMANDANYCOMPONENTSTHEREOF,INCLUDINGITSCONDITION,ITSCONFORMITYTOANYREPRESENTATIONORDESCRIPTION,THEEXISTENCEOFANYLATENTORPATENTDEFECTS,ANYNEGLIGENCE,ANDITSMERCHANTABILITYORFITNESSFORAPARTICULARUSE.LimitationofLiability.InnoeventshallBCSbeliableforanydamagetoyourpropertythatisnotacomponentofthecamerasystemprovidedbyBCS,anylossofyourdataordocumentation,anylossofprofits,anyincidental,special,exemplary,orconsequentialdamages,oranypersonalinjuriestoyouorothers,evenifBCShasbeenadvisedofthepossibilityofsuchdamages,claimsordemands.ThislimitationupondamagesandclaimsisintendedtoapplywithoutregardtowhetherotherprovisionsofthisAgreementhavebeenbreachedorhaveprovenineffective.
