Cath has been a police officer for 23 years, primarily working in strategic, training, policy and project management areas. Currently working in Road Policing Command in the Strategy Division. The role of this division is to support the Assistant Commissioner for Road Policing in reducing road trauma and improving the safety of Victorian roads. The division works closely with Vic Roads, the Department of Justice and the Transport Accident Commission. AUSTRALIA's PREMIER OPEN GARDEN WEEKEND Organised by the Rotary Club of Kew in conjunction with the Rotary Clubs of Brighton North and Central Melbourne - Sunrise this event aims to firstly raise much needed funds for its selected charities and secondly to encourage creative, bold, innovative, versatile, practical and responsible gardening in our Australian gardens. Recognising exceptional service by a person with disabilities. The club very keen to be part of this year’s Rotary "SHINE ON" Awards. This is anoutstanding annual Australia-wide Rotary award recognising exceptional service to othersby people with disabilities. Clubs may nominate people who meet the criteria and allnominees will receive recognition with a Certificate of Commendation. Guidelines for NominationEligible Nominees are people who are actively involved in community service for thebenefit of others and have demonstrated a significant level of achievement whilstmanaging a specific medical disorder/disability. Nominations must be endorsed by a Rotary Club. If you know of a potential candidate Peter Duras would like to hear from you [tel.0413599121]. NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting of the Rotary Club Central Melbourne-Sunrise will be held atthe club meeting on November 25, 2014. Business will include acceptance of Financial Statements for 2013-14, and voting onnominations for the Board for 2014-15. The Agenda and particulars will be sent tomembers shortly. Members including non-board members are welcome to nominate for the 2014-15 board.They are also welcome to propose motions for the AGM.
