Site Survey Site Preparation & Mobilization

Normally carried out in the form of

desk studies and on site investigation.

The survey is done to obtain

information as well as to buildfamiliarization with actual site

condition. Aspects that are survey are

with respect to access routes,

topographical features, ground

conditional, location and types of

existing services as well as adjacentproperty.

The site is prepared and

conditioned to receive demolition

works. This activity includes the

erection of safety fencing andhoarding, site offices as well as other

facilities. Mobilization comprises of

aspects such as conducting

temporary works, erecting, scaffolds

and safety signages, diversion and

steel ball suspended from a

crane.

Balling can be done by twoways which are by hoisting

the ball and releasing it to

drop vertically or winching the

ball towards the machine and

releasing it to swing inline

with the jib.

Floors should bedemolished by dropping the

ball on the highest remaining

floor and allowing the debris

should be removed regularly

to prevent excessive weight

accumulating on the lowerfloors.

Walls or columns can be

demolished either by swinging

the ball in line with the

stationary jib, using the drag

rope, or by slewing the jib. Theball should not swing by

derricking the jib.
