Youth Dormitories (JBSN) This building is located near LRT Bukit Jalil and National Aquatic Centre. An existing food court building will be demolished for the purpose of constructing PSM’s Admin Office. The location of PSM admin office must be strategic and important because it will be a main entrance from LRT. Thousands of people that use LRT service to Bukit Jalil Sports City will use this path. Sports Mall must show iconic features and a landmark visually and physically. Comprehensive Traffic studies must be conducted by Traffic Consultants to ensure smooth traffic flow. For Sports Mall, total parking space to be provided is 1379. In initial calculation, the 4 basement floors are required. Large carpark area is required because this building will house the following facilities: Carpark Requirements: 1. Admin Office – 81 carpark 2. Sports Building- 223 carpark 3. Sports Mall-726 carpark 4. Sports Mall Outdour Retail Area-234 carparks 5. Youth Dormitories-115 carparks.. For motorcycling parking space, 651 space is required. In carpark requirement calculation, Sports Mall requires most carparks area due to its large area and commercial usage. Page 56

2. Youth ParkFor Youth Park, it must be considered that part of the area to be developed is not necessarily to be indoor. Few area such as Bicycle track, jogging, roller speed rink etc. dont need indoor space. It can be outside of the building or on the roof.Total area to be provided for Youth Park is 19,686 m2. Location 2 is for the purpose of 2 storey carpark which comprise of 145 car space and 286 motorcycle space.A 4-storey building can be fitted in the proposed site and can be divided to few separate building as mentioned in Proposed Development for Location 2.

3. Convention CentreConvention centre is a critical component in generating sports and entertainment activities in Bukit Jalil Sports City. Modern and unique design/features has to be considered.In the convention centre, the following facilities are to be located:1. Indoor hall2. Indoor showroom/exhibition centre.3. Indoor sports and entertainment facilities.4. Sports Museum5. Library6. Landscape area7. Food courtTotal area for Convention centre is 86,765 m2. Traffic studies is crucial to ensure the Convention Centre can cater for traffic flows especially during sports or entertainment event.The design of the Convention Centre must have a Moving Forward feature that unite and uniform all the facilities in the building. Crucial facilities such as Indoor Hall, Indoor Sports and Entertainment Facility and Sports Museum must have a distinct design.

Another main criteria for a convention centre is its large area with large distance between structural supports. This building requires comprehensive structural study.This type of structure usually make use of steel truss. Developer/Contractor can study other feasible structural design.Some sports hall or international swimming pool can use glue laminated timber truss as a main structure. This will gives a beautiful finish.

4. Institute Sukan Negara (ISN) Building

16. Provision on CarparksA. carparkEventhough Bukit Jalil Sports City has 226.7 acre of space, it has high level of space and accommodation usage.Hence, theres limited space available for new development. With respect to general usage and available space, 3,084 carpark lot is required.Existing open area for carparks, motorcycle and bus cant cope with the requirement. Hence every new building or facilities has to provide space for carpark either in separate building or within the basement/upper floors.Required Motorcycle parking space is 1,448. This number is derived from DBKL guideline.Bukit Jalil Sports City is a premier development that will have modern and spacious buildings. Therefore, its important theres sufficient carpark space.Please refer to provided carpark calculation.

A. Retractable Seating

Retractable seats are seating system that are retractable when are not used.

Its a frequently used system that requires extra seating space but limited in available space for permanent seat.

This system is space efficient and only used when extra seats required.

Its a popular solution all over the world because seating area can be increased to extra thousands.

Typically type of retractable seat are:

a. Tip-up mechanism for individual seat which has fabric finish.b. Bench shell. Without back support.Chosen seat must not be a bucket shell type which is the type that are not foldable.

Proposed Retractable seat must consider the following aspects:i. Structural system and frame for retractable seat must not clashing with 100m track.ii. Retractable seat system must not pose damage to the track.iii. Retractable seat system has to be automatic.iv. Retractable seat must consider existing seat location. It shall not obstruct the view of audience at the back. Developer/Contractor has to study to determine the angle, height of the retractable system.v. Track and field to be modified to satisfy the need of new retractable seat system. vi. 15,000 retractable seat to be provided. This is addition to additional seat.vii. Numbers of existing seat must not be reduced.
