Tempus Application form was fully written by the Syrian Team and sent to Strathclyde University for Approval
Necessary modification was applied to the form, and finally the application was printed in the UK and submitted on the last moment

•objective of the SYReLIB project was the development of modern electronic library and information services in Aleppo University and Al Ba’ath University that could act as a model for other Syrian universities
SCM Project 2: SYReLIB : Establishing a Strategic Framework for Electronic Libraries in Syrian Higher Education
• The initiative to apply for this project was after a presentation given for the World Bank about Aleppo University, and shown that modernizing libraries is one of the priorities of the University.• National Tempus office in Syria put a note
requesting EU universities to help in creating such a project
• A positive response from Robert Gorden University was the start for the project
SCM Project 2: SYReLIB : Establishing a Strategic Framework for Electronic Libraries in Syrian Higher Education
• Application was created online on Tempus website
• Every member of the team used the same username and password to fill a part of the application form
• The Robert Gorden University contacted Aleppo University for the Project
• The Output of the project is creating a database for Aleppo and Al-AlBaath Universities that can be used by students and professors to search for books, theses, and articles in their libraries.
• Introducing electronic journals
• Showing the importance of having Institutional Repository in our Universities
