Definition‘‘Strategic Vision involves most importantly perceiving where you

want to see your library in future and to perceive how your library would go at your desired stature.”

According to Oren Harari Strategic Vision"Vision should describe a set of ideals and priorities, a picture of

the future, a sense of what makes the company special and unique, a core set of principles that the company stands for, and a broad set of compelling criteria that will help define organizational success”. (Oren Harari)

Simply it can be derived that;“Strategic vision is such a vision that might enable libraries to

survive in fast changing era in future in a better manner with a best stature”.

This paper gives assurance to the library and information science professionals that if they build strategic vision following the discussed prerequisites and qualities of strategic vision the status of the libraries as well as the librarians would be uplifted in Pakistan. Due to the building of the strategic vision the libraries can remain compatible with the latest ICT tools and techniques in the future.
