Objectives of the Seminar

The seminar-workshop aims to help administrators, professional

librarians and nonprofessionals working in both public and private school

libraries to:

1. update librarians on current trends in school library services for the

millennials;

2. learn new strategies to promote and market the school library; and

3. engage themselves in conducting action research to improve library

programs and services.

Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI)

the leading international body representing the interests of

library and information services and their users. It is the

Standard IX. Linkages and Networking A. The school library media center

shall participate in resource sharing networks in order to increase the

opportunities to intensify the collection and services. B. The school

library media center shall establish linkages with other resource centers

in the vicinity/community (e.g. Barangay , public and special libraries)

where students can be referred to for research and additional sources of

information.
