UDAAN- THE FORMAL FAREWELL DINNER FOR THE GRADUATING BATCHUdaan, the formal farewell dinner for the graduating batch and one of IITGN’s traditions, saw the presence of students of the graduating batch, staff & faculty members with their families on April 14, 2019. Udaan is one of the most awaited programs for the IIT Gandhinagar fraternity as all the students of the graduating batch come together to express their feelings, share memories and dine together.
IIT GANDHINAGAR BECOMES INDIA’S FIRST EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE TO RECEIVE EAT RIGHT CAMPUS AWARDIITGN subscribes to the philosophy of ‘Students First’, where the living conditions, food, health, and safety of students are all important concerns for the Institution. Since inception, IITGN has placed a great emphasis on hostel food, its quality, nutritional value, and hygiene, as a result of which, IIT Gandhinagar becomes India’s first educational institute to receive EAT RIGHT CAMPUS award by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
INAUGURATION OF DR KIRAN C PATEL CENTRE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTIIT Gandhinagar set up the Dr Kiran C Patel Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) on January 30, 2019. The Centre aims to become the principal resource centre for sustainable development in India and develop a national and global network of leading experts and researchers on sustainability. The Dr Kiran C Patel Centre for Sustainable Development has been established with a generous endowment from Dr Kiran C Patel, a distinguished cardiologist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist based in Tampa, Florida, USA.
