A busy night in the Dock Office completing paperwork for arriving and departing Night Trunking vehicles, also preparing daily journey GIT notes for morning retail delivery vehicles to ensure an on-time departure from the RDC.

Opening the RDC on a Sunday evening, one of the first jobs was vehicle inspections and checking any defects reported by drivers returning late the previous night after the RDC has closed. Here an example of a load unsecured has caused vehicle damage. This is always a challenge over weekends to the loading operation and sourcing a replacement vehicle in sufficient time to laod ready for scheduled depot departure time.

Contract Driver Geoff collects paperwork for a return trailer for the 02:00 trunk back to Beeston and has a quick coffee with Dock Office Staff before his departure.

Early morning in the yard the remaining vehicles await their drivers after a successful night shift loading. Stock is trunked from Chelmsford, Aldershot and Nottingham as well as that which is picked in the CSR and RDC at Basingstoke.
