This welcome pack will explain what BSI Action Manager is and how it will help you.

We’ll give you a quick guide to the services you have access to – and show you how to get started.

Spend time going through this guide to learn some Action Manager basics. We will introduce you to a number of useful concepts and resources that will help you get started with your new application.

BSI Action Manager is a remarkably simple, yet powerful way to capture improvement findings and manage actions across your department, site or enterprise.

With BSI Action Manager, you can record finding such as non-conformities, improvements, recommendations, positive actions and best practice found during an assessment, or discovered day-to-day. In addition, you can determine the root cause, manage the related action management process (through action assignment, notifications and reporting), implement required changes, and ensure that the issue is resolved quickly and effectively.

Supporting you on your certification journey

If you are responsible for implementing or managing certification BSI Action Manager will support you inthe following three ways:

Project, task and action management Identifying, tracking, and completing action items is critical to advancing any project (including ISO implementation) and driving business improvements.

Corrective Action process Organizations striving to meet ISO (International Standards Organization) standards such as ISO9001:2008 are required to implement an effective Corrective/Preventive Action process.

Internal audit management ISO requirements include the conducting of internal audits to determine whether the management system conforms to the standards requirements and to the requirements established by the organisation. Action Manager can support any internal audit programme by providing a way to capture any audit findings and manage the actions to resolve.

Getting started is easy

Email

By now you will have received your Action Manager activation email.

Login

Type a password in the Password and Confirm New Password fields, and click Login

Create new password

Click the Link in the email, and you will be redirected to the Create New Password screen:

You have now successfully logged into Action Manager.

Basic NavigationThe following provides a quick overview to the basic navigation of the Action Manager menu

Findings

This is where you view and record findings. These findings can be found in a product, a process, from a supplier, or in a management system itself, and identified through customer complaints, internal audits, external audits, incoming material inspection or simply during normal testing and inspection activities.

Actions

The Actions menu allows you to view, record and assign actions.

RecurringActions

TheRecurringActionsoptionallowsyoutoschedule a frequency of regular actions.

Action Plans

Identifying, tracking, and completing action items is critical to advancing any project (including ISO implementation) and driving business improvements. Action Plans allow you to create multiple actions in a project management format.

BSI Non-Conformities and Actions

This area is for BSI certification customers only. If BSI is your Certification Body (CB) and you have undergone an assessment where Non-Conformities were raised, then these will show in this BSI Non-Conformity tool.You can use the Actions tool and associate to a Non-Conformance. This can be submitted to BSI forAcceptanceorRejection;theassessorwillrespond and you will be notified by the system.

Types

This section is for administration purposes and allows you to define finding and action types and rules associated to these types.For example renaming the term ‘non-conformance’ to ‘business improvement observation’.

What can I use BSI Action Manager for?

BSI Action Manager is being used to support organizations with a wide range of challenges including the management of customer complaints, incidents, product returns, project tracking, document review dates and much more.

Do all my BSI findings appear in Action Manager?

If you are a BSI Certification customer, all non-conformities raised from your BSI assessment can be made available in Action Manager.

Is BSI Action Manager available in different languages?

BSI Action Manager is available in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Additional language support will be available in the near future. If you require support for a specific language not listed, please contact our client services team.

Does BSI Action Manager work on tablets?

We know that mobility is being embraced by organizations ofallsizes;thereforewehavemadeBSIActionManagercompatible on tablets via a web browser. The tablet must be connected via WiFi or mobile data – ideally 3G/4G. Offline capability is not supported.
