GREETINGS FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to the 21st Annual BMWGA Golf Tournament!

I didn’t think we could top last year’s event -- but I believe we

have! We are exploring new frontiers and taking the

tournament to Palm Harbor, Fl. We are beyond excited to be at

the beautiful Innisbrook Golf Resort, owned by the trailblazer

and co-founder of BET, Sheila Johnson. Innisbrook is home to

the PGA’s Valspar Championship and has received top

accolades including Golf Magazine's “Top 100 You Can Play”

and Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Golf Resorts in America.” Stunning

and challenging fairways await you. We can tell you are

excited, too, because this year’s tournament sold out in 25

minutes! June 13 -16, 2019, we will host our largest gathering ever. More than 300 women are

gathering for this excellent event. We appreciate your passion.

This year we honor LaJean Gould. Founder and President of Women In Golf Foundation, Inc.

LaJean has hosted 25 annual Women’s Collegiate Golf Classics featuring HBCUs. She has developed

programs which support and nourish young women while teaching them the game of golf,

leadership and life skills. LaJean is an Atlanta resident and long-term member of BMWGA.

I want to honor and thank the 2019 BMWGA Golf Tournament Committee: Marva Simpson, Chair;

Cecelia Corbin Hunter, Co-Chair; Lena Tice, Stacey Terrell, Joyce Evans, Margaret Bolden and Joyce

Davidson. Special Thanks to Melody Mixon and Twanda Mickle for their guidance and help! These

ladies have worked tirelessly all year to create an event that allows us to enjoy golf and each other.

Be sure to let them know they are appreciated.

Oh, my goodness! Ladies, it's about to go down! Thank you for joining us on our new chapter. Hit

‘em straight, enjoy one another and have a fabulous time!

Let’s get this PAR-TEE started!

Your sister in golf,

Felecia Dawson 2019 BMWGA President
