IE (I) Industry Excellence Award 2017

Management Services received the same on behalf of the

company during the inaugural of the 32nd Indian Engineering

Congress organized by the Tamil Nadu State Centre of the

IE (I) on 21.12.2017 at Chennai.

The award was Instituted by IE(I), organization of engineering

professionals in India, in the year 2008 to recognize Industries

for innovation, excellence in engineering operation, services

and sustain in a competitive manner.

Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, a Special Invitee, in his

Visionary Talk on 'Indian Power Scenario – Today and

Lignite Conveyor System to NNTPS from M-IA

Directors Shri Rakesh Kumar, Shri Subir Das,

CMD in his address said that Mine-1A should be a role

model for all our projects in controlling the cost since it has

set precedence by saving INR 300 Crore. Saving is a result

of laying the available Conveyor system and optimum

utilization of resource of the organization. Shri Subir Das,

Director (Mines) said that this 2000 mm width of the Link

Conveyor System would carry 1000 ton Lignite per hour

from Mine-1A, through the stock yard of Mine-1 to the

Lignite Handling System (LHS) of NNTPS (6.12 KMs).

The Link Conveyor System was laid, while the

commissioning of NNTPS is in progress.

Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD inaugurated the

Conveyor System at Conveyor Drive Head at Mine-IA

(C-1 DH) for carrying Lignite to the 1000 MW (2x500)

Neyveli New Thermal Power Station (NNTPS) on

29.03.2018. The New Thermal Power Station (TPS) is

being constructed as a replacement for the existing

50 years old TPS-I, 600 MW (6x50) and (3x100) . The

Conveyor system was laid and completed, while the

construction work is in progress for the New TPS.

The 69th Republic Day celebrations began with

Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Centre at Neyveli

Jawahar Matriculation Higher Secondary School premises on

Preventive Cardiac Screening Programme Inaugurated

of Male Employees on 15.02.2018 at our Hospital by lighting the Traditional Lamp.

The objective of the programme is Preventive Cardiac Care for the Women Employees and Spouse of Male Employees of our company who are above 45 years of age.

Programme is scheduled to cover 7000 individuals in 15 months from February '2018 engaging a Private Medical Care Company. The Preliminary Medical Investigations including Electrocardiogram (ECG) of the Individuals with prior appointments are completed in the Central Laboratory Facilities of our hospital. Pre-Screening is carried out by the cardiologist followed by Two-Dimensional Echocardiography (Echo) and Tread Mill test. The results are evaluated and recommendations recorded for follow up in our hospital as Out-Patients or referred to other Hospitals for advanced
