BAC Folk Arts invites Brooklynites to share their knowledge of local traditions to enhance the scope of our new project Days of the Dead in Brooklyn (DODB). One of the aims of DODB is to research and report on diverse traditions of death and dying by asking Brooklynites to tell us what they know. We're interested in a range of traditions including music, dance, foodways, visual/materials arts, and verbal expressions. Submissions will be featured on BAC's website and housed in our Folk Arts archive. Click here for more information.

We’d like to send a huge THANK YOU to all of our friends and supporters for helping make Alive with Art 2008 such a success. Click here to check out some great photos from the event. Alive with Art was a terrific party, but more importantly, the event raised critically-needed funds to sustain our work with artists and arts groups across Brooklyn. So on behalf of the entire Brooklyn arts community, thank you!
