Charles Cook Bronson’s History of Tallmadge and the Western Reserve, 1633-1866 in 10 Volumes Table of Contents Charles Cook Bronson (1804-1886) authored ten volumes on the history of Tallmadge and the Western Reserve. The original volumes, along with accompanying material such as oral presentations by Bronson and obituaries, were transcribed by Tobi Battista of the Tallmadge Historical Society using an electric typewriter between July of 1995 and January of 1997. Battista then organized the transcriptions into five three-ring binders and created a table of contents for each volume. In 2005/2006, Fred Wybenga, also of the Tallmadge Historical Society, re-entered and expanded the table of contents for each volume using a word processing program (Word) to allow for easier data search and retrieval. The electronic version of these new tables of contents was turned over to the Special Collections Division of the Akron-Summit County Public Library for their use and further distribution. The ten individual tables of contents have been combined into one table and sorted alphabetically by name/topic to create the table that appears below.
