The tour will start in the heart of

the Colonial Zone, on the famous

Conde Street, where the Domini-

San Francisco ruins in the Hostos

street.

From here the tour descends

towards the nearby Plaza España,

known for some of the best restau-

rants in town and the famous Co-

lumbus House (Alcazar de Colon).

On the south end of the Plaza

España we’ll find the Museo de

las Casas Reales (Royal Houses

Museum.

Continuing through the Calle de las

Damas (Ladies Street), the oldest

street of Santo Domingo and con-

structed in 1511, we will reach the

National Pantheon.

Further down the Calle de las

Damas, we reach the Ozama For-

tress, located just outside the old

city’s defense walls.

(Columbus park), with its famous

Cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor

Americas. Built in 1540, it’s the

oldest cathedral in the Americas

and it will truly leave a lasting

impression.
