Pioneering broadband with REHAUWith support from REHAU, the community of Schorndorf connected a lot of areas that had been white spots on the map in terms of digital infrastruc- ture until 2014. They did it all in record time, only three months. The project showed how quickly and easily, safely the RAUSPEED micro ducts can be installed.

REHAU provides the safest, easiest and quickest installation of micro ducts and everything you need for installation within buildings. To that end, we give you various quality assurance and product safety features.

System benefit #1: Quick, zero-fault installation to the home connection

Planning with the one-stop- shop principle Starting from the backbone, we cover all the steps to the house connection and are equipped to handle all common installation methods: open trench, protective sleeve, ploughing, micro-trenching or horizontal flush-drilling.

Every micro duct within a bundle is colour coded and marked with its unique pipe number. Used together with the self-explanatory branch support, it effectively prevents mix-ups of individual micro-ducts even without special training.

To further assist with the installation, our portfolio offers translucent pipes and transparent fittings. These let you see at a glance whether the cable duct is already fitted and the duct is connected properly.

The sealing element is used to temporarily seal the pipe against water and gas up to 0.5 bar. Since it is divisible, it can be used as an end seal for empty micro ducts as well as fitted ducts. In both cases, its excellent ergonomics make it very easy to install.

The longer and better the components last, the less maintenance, the less time required for underground work makes the project more efficient. This is where REHAU scores big points.

Blowing in even after 20 yearsBlowing in the fibre cables can quickly turn into a significant expense, depending on the length and time. The exceptional quality of our pipes ensures that they will remain serviceable over time. Fibre optic cables can still be blown in without any problems even after several years. With the RAUSPEED EasyConnect blowing-in box (see page 14), the work will be as hassle-free as possible.

To guarantee that no loss of quality occurs during storage, we wrap the duct bundle drums in UV foil and deliver them on our special, transport-safe drum rack. After the foil is removed, you can store the pipes for up to four years without compromising their quality. The drums can safely be moved with a forklift.

100% factory tested, safe for 100 yearsNo cable duct leaves our factory untested. We subject all ducts to a pressure test and ensure continuity by means of bead testing. Best in class tolerances ensure that pipes have a uniform outer diameter and wall thickness. Thanks to other requirements based on DIN 8074/75, RAUSPEED pipes have a service life of 100 years.

The underground construction work needed to install fibre optic cables is time consuming and costly. Glass fibres are sensitive and need lasting protection. Avoid unnecessary costs with RAUSPEED.

It usually takes two appointments to install a fibre optics connection. During the first one, the house connection is prepared, the second is for blowing in the cable. Blowing in has always required two tech-nicians: one to do the blowing in, the other to receive the fibre optics cable inside the house. Especially in apartment buildings or entire residential districts, this could turn into a coordination nightmare. Now you can say goodbye to all that stress.
