HISTORY OF THE EVENTAir Traffic Controllers have met since the 1960s to compete in regional football tournaments on an annual basis in Europe,
Russia and the Middle East.
WORLD CONTROLLERS’ CUP (WCC) – Created in 2010 now in its 4th edition. Every year one world location
VISION: to gather create a global 11-a-side football tournament for Air Traffic Controllers to welcome ATC units and Pilots from all over the world representing their countries and competing for the World Champion Title
1st WCC edition Las Vegas (USA) 2011:
Inaugurated at the Stratosphere Tower (tallest building in Vegas) first time Latin Americans con-
fronted European Teams.
2nd WCC edition Salvador Bahia (Brazil) 2012:
Amazing exotic location, the home of football, new Asian and Latin Americans teams joined the
tournament. Exciting to watch Kazakshtan playing Argentina on
the same field.
3rd WCC edition San Juan (Puerto Rico) 2013:
At the heart of the Caribbean, superb beach from hotel welcom-ing fellow ATCOS from the region where friendship consolidated.

Last year we liaised with a local charity organization (golitos foundation) from Puerto Rico to organize a football training event with kids with special needs during the WCC tournament to raise money for the organization.This is something we will keep doing every year, to see the smile on kid´s faces was priceless.
