All processes, from design to production to final testing are carriedout exclusively by Dalmec personnel at our Cles plant, which extendsover an area of 25,000 square metres, of which 12,000 are under cover.

Dalmec solutions

Dalmec plans for the optimization of its products, with regard toergonomics and safety in particular, by involving every phase of themanufacturing process of a Manipulator, from design to final testing upto the technical assistance and customer sevice.

Dalmec tests and tries out each Manipulator using advanced equipmentin the specially designed plant.

Identification and CE marking

Since the 1st January 1995, all Dalmec Manipulators have had the ECmark and have been followed by a Declaration of Conformity and acustomized instruction manual. This guarantees important advantages:

n Maximum safety for the operator, who is trained and informedabout the correct use and the residual risks.

n Confidence that the Manipulators are designed and manufacturedaccording to European standards.

n Easiness of installation, adjustment and maintenance thanks to thecustom-made instruction manual.

Every Manipulator is identified with a metallic plate mounted on thecover of the pneumatic box indicating the information about the CEmark.

Dalmec services

Dalmec’s long experience in the field of Manipulators ensures a seriesof services and in particular:

n Customer Service with specialized personnel, who are able to giveadvice and assistance to the Customer to ensure the correcthandling solution is provided.

n Well trained technical personnel to install and adjust the equipmentas required.

n Engineers at the Customer’s disposal for the training of the personneland for the setting up of the production.

n After-sales service, for maintenance or repairs.

Manual handling of loads

Legislative decree No. 626/1994 - Title V

These rules are applied to the activities involving the manual handlingof loads with risks to the operators of injuries to the back.

The workplace must be fitted with proper means to reduce the risksderiving from the manual handling of loads.

When it is not possible to avoid the manual handling of the loads (lifting,pushing, drawing, transport), the employer must provide the worker withsuitable means to reduce the risks deriving from these operations.

Limit values for the lifting of loads:

n Kg 30 Adult males

n Kg 20 Adult females

n Kg 20 Teenage males

n Kg 15 Teenage females

There are coefficients of reduction of the limit values, which consider:

- height of the hands from the ground at the beginning of lifting

- vertical distance of the load from the beginning to the end of thelifting cycle

- distance between the load and the body during lifting

- rotation of the bust for angular displacement of the load

- possibility of taking the load

- frequency of movements.

The installation of mechanical arms also for weights lower than 30 kg,enables the operator to:

n work quicker

n notably reduce physical fatigue

n eliminate the risk for the back

n non-skilled personnel to carry out manual handling

n reduce the risk of injuries.
