LLaw Schools across the globe have one cardinal objective, to educate the youth about a science

which will always stay viable and which truly and justifiably decides the entire way of living in

society. It has always been my dream, to envisage a university where students not only learn

their subjects but also live their subjects. With this aim in mind I decided to create KIIT Law

School. Law is a pedagogy which closely perceives all the aspects of society and subsequently

deals with them. I feel that in the field of legal education, students should instinctively apply

what they have studied in the four corners of their classroom to whatever their eye may

observe in the environment around them. Realizing the importance of mixing law with aspects

of finance such as Economics and Business Management is a revelation only 20 years old. It is only obvious that the

amalgamation of legal education with the requirements of the corporate world is almost a necessity for the modern-

day law student. We at KIIT Law School strive to mold and nurture students to not only meet but exceed expectations in

the field of law integrated with the field of finance. I welcome all those who are going to share the feeling of

satisfaction with the success of the KIIT Law School and thank all those who have extended and would continue to

extend their valued support in achieving our mission.

N.L.MITRA ( Chairman, Advisory Board)

I have the pleasure and honour to announce that the first batch of KIIT Law School is set to

graduate in the year 2012. KIIT Law School as a paragon institution, believes not only in

imparting education, but also building social engineers and globally competent professionals.

KIIT Law School with its modern state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated caucus of faculty

members has provided the students with a canvas to paint their ideas. The course curriculum at

this institution is framed with the objective to endow the students with amenities required to

face the challenges posed by the legal profession, judiciary, public services, non-profit & non-

governmental organizations, entrepreneurships and corporate entities. The students at KIIT Law

School are constantly promoted to take up internships in different genres of legal profession to gain first-hand

practical experience. Unparalleled opportunities are provided to students and policies at KIIT Law School provide

both financial and physiological assistance to deserving students. The aim of the education provided at KIIT Law

School is directed at developing holistic attributes in students and building prospective future global leaders.

On 3rd October 2007, 59 students walked shoulder to shoulder through the portals of KIIT Law School. With apprehension in their minds and dreams in their eyes…it was not

long before they realized that they belong to that place.. these sixty realized how fortunate they were to be the first batch of such a marvelous law school. Several key developments have shaped this institution in its four years of existence and the School has now become known for providing the best training in Law. Yes, having no seniors was a big issue. A lot of things had to

be done without any guidance. Choosing which courses to take, who is the better Prof. for which course, internships, placements

etc. Now if a student from a junior batch comes and asks us, how to apply for an internship, we give them complete details, help them in every way we can.. Such things weren't there for us. But remember, we ended up learning more, by

struggling just a little more. Technical and Cultural, both play a lot of part in your

personality improvement. They had to be started from scratch. Here is where all the advantage of being the first batch came in. The fact that you'd be called a "founding member" and would lay down the rules/constitution of a body which will be there forever in the institution is completely another feeling. The feeling of starting something is simply awesome. True leaders emerged in our batch, people who had never thought in their lives that they'd be trendsetters. If you go with an open mind, and if you love challenges, you'd love being the first batch in a Campus. Four years have passed now and the thought of

leaving this place gives us a shudder. Staying together all this years, life just

couldn't get any better.
