INTRODUCTION
The BRIGHTONHOUSE Flock was founded in 1995 when we selected the best females we could find from both Society Sales and privately. We heavily invested in the best stock and genetics available by using AI, choosing top Sires such as Kirkton Finale, Muiresk Dancing Brave, Muiresk Marci Marvellous, Stockton Storm and Muiresk Master Craftsman. We also purchased very correct, extremely well conformed, tight skinned tups such as the National Supremo Champion 2000 Muiresk King’s Champion. He has left fantastic Males and Females with extremely good breed points, with many Show Champions and Sale toppers to him name.
We have always selected heavily within the flock only keeping the very best Ewes, this soon started to pay off as for the last 10 years we have never been out of the prizes or top price at any Sale entered. We are dispersing on a high as at Skipton Tup Sale this year we got Champion out of 240 Suffolks topping the Sale at 1080 gns, also 2nd prize Shearling and 2nd & 3rd Ram Lamb.
Our Sale opens with a great selection of mature Ewes which have done us proud and are only still here in the Flock because they are proven breeders. We are confident this Flock will go on to be vastly successful in both the Show and Sale Ring.
Buy with confidence as we are sure you will get as much pride and pleasure out of our Suffolks as we have.
Best Wishes
GRAHAM, MANDY, BEV & TERRY FORT

AUCTIONEER’S FOREWORD
The Brightonhouse Flock of Pedigree Suffolk sheep is certainly one of the best in the northern region comprising animals that have great carcases, tight skins and plenty of style. Its dispersal at Skipton Auction Mart on Saturday, 29th October is an event which should attract pedigree breeders and commercial lamb producers alike as these are sheep that have a proven track record for growth, performance and giving great satisfaction wherever they go and they are farmed at over 1000 feet above sea level.
The sale comprises just under 100 head of which there are 41 Flock Ewes, 19 Gimmer Shearlings, 35 Ewe Lambs and the two stock tups, Tomcroft Titan and the homebred Brightonhouse Seventy Seven. The ewes are a wonderful group of mature sheep that are proven breeders of good progeny, the gimmers are really impressive for their conformation, colours and style and the ewe lambs are undoubtedly showing the potential, even at this early stage, to develop into great ewes.
It has always been the policy to use as good conformation, tight skinned tups and in 2000 Graham and Mandy purchased the National Supreme Champion, Muiresk Kings Champion who has really proved to be a successful acquisition. Many of the older ewes in the sale are by him. There are also several by Colessie Cut Above and Glenhead Morangie, and both of whom have made their mark in the flock. The Stockton Savannah son, Ewebank UK was purchased in 2005 and the Perrinpit High Peak son, Sitlow Noble arrived two years later and these two rams tend to be the sires of most of the younger ewes.
The impressive group of gimmers are mainly by Tomcroft Titan (Lot 97), a son of the noted Meikleson Impression, who is also the main Sire of the Ewe lambs along with the homebred Brightonhouse Seventy Seven (Lot 96) a son of Ewebank UK. Both Titan and Seventy Seven have been used exclusively for service across the flock this season, and their progeny so far are impressive to say the least.
This is a really good flock and those looking to increase numbers, source replacements or establish new flocks will do little wrong by being in attendance at Skipton on 29th October and purchasing from this very genuine dispersal sale.
HEALTH STATUS: No purchased Females for ten years. Maedi Visna Accredited Vaccinated with Heptavac P and Footvax
