Brief Biosketch Dr.Jim Cooper practices, teaches in on-line, classroom and clinical

settings and conducts research on geriatric pharmacotherapy in ambulatory and long-term care settings formerly at the University of Georgia and now on-line around the southeast. He has taught infectious disease and oncology therapeutics and nine electives,and gives selected lectures in other therapeutics courses, research in nursing course and developed 70 courses. Consultant pharmacy services, as well as teaching and research bases have included a 170-bed teaching skilled facility, nine other nursing facilities, 100+-client adult day-care and several personal care homes. He also provides a medication evaluation and long-term care counseling service for seniors in his church and the community-at-large. Jim has authored 35 books, manual and monographs, 19 book chapters, 330 professional and 115 research papers and 172 abstracts, and given over 1,800 invited presentations, primarily on geriatric drug therapy in 46 of 50 states and been a visiting professor in Canada, the UK, Spain and Korea, as well as seven universities in the USA. He has served over 4,000 students, residents and fellows in pharmacy, medicine and nursing and more than 6,000 patients at all levels of care.
