The students presented various cultural performances like dancing and singing various patriotic songs. The occasion was graced by Shri B. S. Ghosh, GM (C/CSR), Shri Gholam Shahid, GM (C), the team from CSR Dept., and members of the School.

1. BCCL:
Under the ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (AKAM) in BCCL, the drive for awareness about sanitation and COVID-19 related precautionary steps, BCCL distributed 125 packets of hand sanitiser and face masks to the residents of Algoria Basti, a predominantly SC/ ST/ OBC village in PB Area.

2. CCL
Painting Competition was conducted in Dhori Area of CCL where 58 students
from Std XI and XII participated from DAV School Dhori. The painting
competition was based on the theme of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav where the
topic was “Go Green Drink Clean” which laid thrust upon creating awareness
among the young generation about Sustainable Development.
3. CMPDIL
As part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav' celebrations, Singrauli Exploration camp of
CMPDI's, RI-VI, Singrauli on 28.08.2021 organised a saplings plantation drive under
the guidance of Shri Atal Bihari, RD, RI-VI.
On this occassion 180 fruit bearing saplings were also distributed among employees and
people of nearby areas. Shri Bihari urged employees and local people to plant saplings
and take care of them for cleaner, greener and better environment.

"CMPDI installed a water filter in Amarkantak"
Regional Institute V is working for SECL. There is a team of outstanding intellectuals
who have been meritorious in the best institutions of the nation. There are many
experienced engineers and other officers, employees with vast experience in various
fields of mining are also posted, Environment Department of Institute 5 and its
laboratories, Sustainable Services Are ready for From time to time, works are also done
for public welfare through social responsibility and other programs by Regional
Institute V.
Yogiraj Dispensary at Amarkantak is dedicated to free medical services. The
arrangement of clean drinking water for the beneficiaries of this dispensary has been
done under the scheme "Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav" on the instructions of Mr. Indra Dev
Narayan, Regional Director of Regional Institute V.
According to mythological legends, after Amarkantak, Kailash and Kashi, Devadhidev
Shankar ji's residence along with his family is considered to be the place where the
Kalchuri kings also built temples in the 10th century. Amarkantak is the origin of
Narmada, Son and Johila. Amarkantak is a unique place of religiosity and spirituality.
Mahakavi Kalidas has written in Meghdoot that in Amrakoot whose Apabhramsa is
Amarkantak, deities come to roam in the form of human beings. Amarkantak is a
combination of Vindhya and Satpura mountain ranges, but its base is the mountain
range of Maikal.
Narmada is also called Mekalsuta due to its origin from Maikal mountain, it is also the
lifeline of Madhya Pradesh. "Tirth" is also the inspiration of our national unity and
nationalism.
4. ECL
Activity carried out: Installation of water purifier for Govt. schools near ECL HQ
Under the banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), ECL-HQ has installed eleven
Water cooler-cum-purifier along with five water Tanks and three Submersible pumps in
eleven govt. primary schools around ECL-HQ with a project cost of Rs. 6.30 lakhs.
Total number of 16 schools with a capacity of 1690 students benefit from this CSR
initiative.There were 16 nos. of water cooler purifier, 4 nos. of pump and 11 nos. of water
tank installed.
The project was inaugurated by Sri M.K Singh, GM (W & CSR) on 30.08.2021 in
presence of Sri Ajay Hela, Asst. Mgr.(CD) and Sri B.B. Mukherjee, Sec. Sanctoria Village
Samiti.
5. MCL
The Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav is observed at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited to
commemorate the 75 years of India‟s Independence. Now, the Mohtasav has entered
into its 26th week of celebration.
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (M.C.L.) as a responsible corporate citizen has focussed
upon improving / enhancing quality of life of elderly and destitute ladies at different
age levels and undertaken a project for „Construction of Old Age Home at Phuljharana in
Jujumura Block of Sambalpur District ( Odisha).
The initiative is expected to impact the accommodation of 24 elderly and destitute
women who are residing in 12 nos. of rooms in better living conditions. Under the
project, Old Age Home building has been refurbished with a toilet facility within the
building itself which is built at a cost of Rs. 83.00 Lakhs under the Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) initiative of M.C.L. The building has been handed over to the Red
Cross Society Sambalpur for upkeep and maintenance.
6. SECL
On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of India, 1500 nos. of fruit-bearing, medicinal and
ornamental plants were distributed to all the workers, villagers/common people and officials
under Deepika area on 27/28.08.2021. Along with this, they were encouraged to contribute
and aware about the environment and the message was given to plant more and more trees to
keep the environment green.

1. A seminar was organized at NCL Headquarters with the students of MSW
studying in Lucknow University for the survey of basic infrastructure facilities of
affected people around NCL. Apart from the students of MSW studying in
Lucknow University, all the Nodal Officers (CSR) of NCL projects were present in
the said seminar.
2. Under the aegis of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Northern Coalfields
Limited (NCL) under CSR under the Amalori project on 04.09.2021 under the
guidance of Regional General Manager Shri Satish Jha Sahab and under the
guidance of Staff Officer Personnel Shri Rajesh Chaudhary by the Government of
India. In connection with the ongoing nutrition month, a free nutrition food
distribution camp was organized in the Anganwadi centers of village Amjhar after
a discussion with the District Program Officer Mr. Pravesh Mishra, the
distribution of jaggery, gram honey, protein powder, mushroom powder, etc. was
done to the malnourished children.
All the beneficiaries present in the program were advised to take special care of
themselves during pregnancy and after delivery, get regular check-ups done,
along with this also directed the Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers present
that all pregnant women should be consulted regularly. Keep doing home visits
and ensure 100% institutional delivery in the village so that the mother and child
are healthy from birth.
3. CSR schemes amounting to 2.25 crore launched during Amrit Mahotsav
Hon'ble MP, Sidhi-Singrauli inaugurated public welfare schemes
NCL is playing an important role in the development of Singrauli with
sensitivity - Smt. Riti Pathak
Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company of the Government of
India, on Thursday launched several schemes related to infrastructure,
education, skills, employment, clean drinking water during the Amrit Mahotsav
of India under CSR. These schemes were launched and inaugurated by Hon'ble
MP Sidhi-Singrauli Smt. Riti Pathak.
During the program Smt. Riti Pathak while appreciating the work done under
NCL CSR in the overall development of NCL Zone said that the company looks
forward to the development of the local community with utmost sensitivity. He
appreciated the efforts of NCL in the direction of skill development, cleanliness
and women empowerment and expressed confidence that the public welfare
activities of the company would continue in future also.
On this occasion, Hon'ble MP Sidhi-Singrauli Smt. Riti Pathak inaugurated the
road at a cost of 1.6 crores in the Semuar Panchayat. With the construction of
this road, about 10000 people living in Pali, Semur and nearby villages will be
benefitted.
Sewing machines distributed with training certificate. In this sequence, Smt.
Pathak distributed certificates and sewing machines to 27 girls who had taken
training in the ongoing sewing training center under the skill development
program of NCL with the aim of making local women/girls self-reliant. He
encouraged all the girls for self-employment and appreciated the efforts of NCL
in the direction of women's skill development and livelihood generation.
In this episode of the program, water coolers with 4 ROs were given to ensure
the provision of clean drinking water for the school going children. With this,
clean drinking water will be accessible to more than 1000 students.
In order to ensure the provision of modern education in remote villages, NCL
has distributed eight sets of smart TVs with computers to the schools located in
eight panchayats. With this scheme, children of government schools will be
given education through smart classes and they will also be able to get basic
knowledge of computers.
In this sequence, mats, play school slides, utensils (plates, glasses and spoons)
were also distributed to the children studying in 43 Anganwadi located in 10
panchayats of Singrauli district. Along with this, school bags and shoes were
distributed among the children of four government schools. Not only this,
advanced laboratory equipment was also distributed in 4 government schools,
so that more than 500 students would get practical knowledge of science.
Garbage pickup vehicle given to Naudia for clean Singrauli
On this occasion Smt. Riti Pathak and Hon'ble MLA Chitrangi Shri Amar Singh
flagged off the garbage collection vehicle and handed it over to the representative
of Naudia Panchayat. This vehicle will go door to door collecting wet and dry
waste separately. With the help of this vehicle, proper management of waste will
be ensured in Naudia residential settlement and more than 5000 people living
there will get clean environment.
Inauguration of boundary wall of government school
In the sequel of the program, Mrs. Pathak inaugurated the 525 meter boundary
wall of the school located in village Bhowdar at a cost of 30 lakhs. With this
construction work, about 200 students will get a safe campus for playing and
other activities.
In this episode, Hon'ble MPs, MLAs and other public representatives also visited
the Khadi and Handloom Center set up by NCL. This center has been set up with
the help of NCL-IIT BHU Incubation Center in which about 30 women are
becoming self-reliant by getting employment from Khadi.
9. CIL
CIL SIGNS MoU WITH MINISTRY OF SPORTS
CIL has signed an MoU with the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports,
Govt. of India and will contribute Rs. 75 crores towards the National Sports Development
Fund for construction of three large hostels meant for sports persons.
The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of Shri. Anurag Singh Thakur, Hon‟ble
Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India and Shri. Nisith Pramanik, Hon‟ble
Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India. The event was graced by Dr.
Anil Kumar Jain, Secretary (Coal), Govt. of India; Shri. Ravi Mittal, Secretary (Sports), Govt.
of India; Shri. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, CIL and Shri. Atul Singh, Joint Secretary (Sports-
Development), Govt. of India. Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director (Personnel & Industrial Relations),
CIL, signed the MoU on behalf of CIL while Shri. Vijay Kumar, Director (Sports) & Member
Secretary, NSDF signed on behalf of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
These hostels will be constructed at Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education
(LNIPE), Gwalior and Sports Authority of India‟s (SAI) centres at Bhopal & Bengaluru with a
combined capacity of 350 sports persons. These hostels will benefit talented athletes directly
by creating a conducive eco-system through focused training under national level coaches.
The project will be completed by 2023 for which CIL has already released Rs. 25 crores. This
particular support from CIL also meets the purpose spelt out under the “Khelo India” scheme
of the Govt. of India.
NLCIL
NLC INDIA LTD, WIPs, Neyveli Chapter organised a Webinar on „Safety for Women‟ as
a part of „Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav‟ on 29th August, 2021 and The Employees‟
Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Trichy, first time distributed pension payment
orders on 30 August 2021 to the employees of NLC India Ltd including Contract
workmen, as part of „Prayaas‟, an initiative to release pensions on the day of
superannuation to members under the Employees‟ Pension Scheme, 1995 under the
banner of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” for creating awareness as advised by Ministry of
Home Affairs, Govt. of India by following the preventive measures as maintaining social
distancing, wearing of Mask etc.

“Organizing Sports & Games to students and employees”
The scheduled programme for the 26th Week of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav
was planned as “Organizing Sports & Games for students and employees “on
the eve of National Sports day on 29.8.2021".
The Scheduled programme was organized in the Areas to the employees and
students on the occasion of National Sports day on 29.8.2021. The General Manager of
Bellampalli Area Sri B.Sanjeeva Reddy has inaugurated the programme at Goleti
township, Bellampalli and addressed that Sports & Games not only develop physical
growth of the students, but also improves mental growth.
In Mandamarri Area, the Sports & Games programme was inaugurated by the
General Manager Sri. Ch.Srinivas. Sports & Games were conducted to the students and
prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
In Ramagundam - 3 Area, General Manager has inaugurated the National
Sports day on 29.8.2021 to the employees and prizes were distributed to the winners of
the events.
