Bridget Bulletin Volume 17, Issue 13 DECEMBER 2, 2015 December 8th the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the solemn dogma defined by Blessed Pope Pius IX in 1854. As Our Lady Immaculately Conceived is the patroness of the United States of America, this is a holy day of obligation in the United States. Through the centuries the Church has become ever more aware that Mary, "full of grace" through God, was redeemed from the moment of her conception. That is what the dogma of the Immaculate Conception confesses, as Blessed Pope Pius IX proclaimed on December 8, 1854: "The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin." — Catechism of the Catholic Church Please join us for the following: Feast of the Immaculate Conception Parish Mass - Tuesday, December 8 th at 9am 8 th Grade Nativity – Friday, December 18 th at 11 am Daily Mass schedule will resume after the Christmas Holiday Prayer Families Please keep the “prayer families of the day” in your prayers. If you would like to have an intention included, please send the name of the intended person, family, or cause in writing to [email protected]or [email protected]no later than Monday. Since this goes beyond the prayers we hold in our heart, we ask that you secure the permission of the individual or family to share your intentions. God has blessed us in so many ways, with prayer being one of His greatest gifts.

Christmas Concert Information – Thursday, Dec. 10th at 7:00 pm and Friday, Dec. 11th at 8:30 am
This year’s concert will feature 1st and 2nd grade, Middle School Choir and 7th and 8th grade Handbells Choir. Dressing up!
Boys: Holiday church dress.
Girls: Holiday church dress.
St. Bridget School Handbells Choir & Chimes Choir: Same as above.
Please remember that the dress code for spirit day attire is still in effect.
Remember to wear your concert clothes again on Friday, Dec. 11th for the school concert at 8:30 am!
Please do not wear any of the following clothing: No jeans or denim skirts of any color
No leggings worn as pants – dresses must be at least fingertip length
No sneakers
No heavy clothing-it can get really hot in MPH with everyone in there!!
Arrival: Please arrive at school no later than 6:30. 1st and 2nd grade please report to your classroom. Middle school choir and handbells please report to the music room. Seating: Doors to MPH will open for general seating at 6:30 pm. Departure: Students will be seated by class in MPH. Please remain seated throughout the performance and
please remember to collect your child(ren) from their teacher promptly when it is concluded.
The student council will be selling flowers before and during the concert. All of the proceeds will be going towards the music/drama department! Thank you all for your support!!
