The following scope is offered as assistance to complete a thorough scope letter. Bids and budget breakout shall include a scope letter prepared by the contractor 2. This work shall be completed per plans and specifications 3. Pre-bid RFI’s should be submitted if the plans are not thorough, lack dimensions, or if you have questions pertaining to this bid 4. Review all pages of the plans 5. Budget breakout (itemized bid sheet) is required for all scopes 6. Bidders shall submit a schedule (number of days) required to complete the work contained in this scope to assist with overall planning and scheduling General Interior Painting Notes: 1. Paint to be Dunn Edward, Sherwin Williams, or equal per plan and spec. 2. Contractor to provide Caulking, Primer, Base and Finish coats. 3. Contractor shall protect all areas not scheduled for paint from spills, overspray, and any other incident that would affect existing or future finishes. 4. Contractor shall provide (3) each 12” x 12” brush outs of colors for District verification and approval before “any interior paint is applied”. 5. Contractor shall inspect all surfaces to be painted and bring any issues to District Project Manager before commencement of painting. If no issues are recorded prior to commencement of painting, District will assume building is 100% ready and contractor will assume any liability i.e. panel gaps not correct, nailing depth too deep, gaps too large for caulking etc. Interior Colors: 1. BID PACKAGE BR2018.1-2.17 INTERIOR PAINT

Scope Clarification BR2018.1-2.17: Interior Paint

General Notes:

1. The following scope is offered as assistance to complete a thorough scope letter. Bids and budget

General Interior Painting Notes:

incident that would affect existing or future finishes.

4. Contractor shall provide (3) each 12” x 12” brush outs of colors for District verification and

approval before “any interior paint is applied”.

5. Contractor shall inspect all surfaces to be painted and bring any issues to District Project Manager

before commencement of painting. If no issues are recorded prior to commencement of painting,

District will assume building is 100% ready and contractor will assume any liability i.e. panel gaps not

correct, nailing depth too deep, gaps too large for caulking etc.

Interior Colors:

1. Interior Wall Color shall be equivalent color to: color to be determined by owner

2. Interior Ceilings including bathrooms shall be equivalent color to: color to be determined by owner

3. Interior HM Frame and Glazing Stop Color shall be equivalent color to: color to be determined by

owner

4. Interior Door Frames and Door Face shall be equivalent color to: color to be determined by owner

5. Caulking at HM Frames, Casework, Ceiling edges, etc. as needed – to match Interior Wall Color

Interior Paint Schedule

1. All interior rooms have painted ceilings.

2. Bathrooms have FRL/FRP on walls. Lids ONLY, get painted at all bathroom locations.

3. Kitchen and prep/storage rooms have FRL/FRP on walls. Lids ONLY, get painted in kitchen and

associated rooms.

4. All hard lids shall be painted.

5. Where FRL occurs, contractor shall bring finish paint down to minimum 7’ 6” AFF.

a. All gym walls get FRL to 8’.

6. Gym ceiling has extensive tectum panels. See attached pdf. Finish paint shall extend 6” minimum in

behind tectum panel at all sides/ all locations.

7. Gym walls get scattered tectum panels. All gym walls shall get finish paint.

This document shall be used only as a clarification of the intent of the DSA Approved Plans

and Project Manual. While this document is not meant to add to the design of the project, it

is formal and the contractor shall be responsible for its content.
