BUSESMr Bayer is the Bus Controller. Bus routes are on the website. There will be Senior students and staff making sure all new students get on the correct bus over the first few days. The Bus Bay is located at the front of the school on Peter Snell Road. For questions regarding buses please email [email protected]

LOCKERSAre available to purchase at the office. Small $20, Medium $30, Large $40 per year. All students will need to provide their own padlock. Year 7|8 generally don’t require a locker as their equipment is stored in their home room class which is locked when not in use.

PRINTING CREDITS You will need printing credits to be able to use the school printers. We recommend you purchase $5 from the school office which should last you the school year. The first $1 is free.

ABSENCESIt is essential that caregivers advise any absences. Absences can be texted to the absence line: 027 360 2793, or phone 432 8226 ext. 701 or use the BBC APP.

BREAM BAY COLLEGE APPThe college app is available to download. We encourage caregivers to download the App which enables them to email directly to teaching staff, office and absence line. You can also view your timetable from here.

DAILY NOTICES | CALENDARFor students it is important that you check your school emails and notices DAILY as this is where all school activities are posted.

EMAILYour email will be: [email protected] e.g. [email protected] New students will be given there username and password on the first day of school. For caregiv-ers - email is our main point of contact for notices, newsletters, behaviour notes, school trips, accounts etc. If you change you email address it is important to let the college know.

OFFICE HOURSThe office is open for students before school, interval and lunch times only. In the case of emergency or with teachers permission students may come to the office outside of these times. (You must show an out of class pass). If an item has been dropped off for you at the office, please come and collect it during interval or lunch only.

EFORMSPermission for co-curricular events are sent out to caregivers via an Eform to your email address. This will have all the relevant information about the trip and fields your parents need to complete for you to have permission to attend. It will also give them the opportunity to pay for the trip on line if they wish as most trips will incur a fee. Please note payments still can be made to the main office. Helpful Hint: Once the form has been completed please push the SUBMIT button.

UNIFORM Correct school uniform must be worn at all times. Shoes need to be majority black in colour. If you cannot be in school uniform you need to bring a note from home and see a Dean or DP for a uniform pass. Limited second hand uniform is for sale at the school. Uniform can be purchased at The Warehouse or Bethells in the Strand, Whangarei.

FRONT ENTRANCEStudents coming to the office must use the back entrance. The front entrance of the Admin Block is for caregivers, visitors and staff only.

SIGNING OUTIf you are leaving school early or during school hours for an appointment you must 1. Get your parent/caregiver to sign you out at the front office, or 2. Bring a note from your parents and get a DP/Dean’s signature on it.

SICKBAYThe college has a boy’s and a girl’s sickbay. If you are feeling unwell, you must report to the office where staff will assess and help you. They will ring home if required.

YEAR 7/8 ALLOCATED AREASThere is a school map in classrooms that clearly shows all Year 7/8 only areas.

SPIDER INFORMATIONYou can log in to spider via the school website (top right-hand link) using your username and password. Here you can view your time table, assessments, reports, the calendar, daily notices, your absences, medical and other personal information.

SCHOOL CAFEThe Cafe is open at morning tea and lunch times. Cash and Eftpos are available. The current menu is on the website and display boards outside the Cafe. This is run by the Libelle Group.
